Just want to know, is anybody have EDGE connection or on GPRS connection. Coz i only get d blue box without 'E" inside. its wrote there if we are in EDGE connection, we should have d blue box with d 'E' inside.
I'm using celcom 3G simcard, same with my Maxis 3G and also Digi prepaid..even dont have blue box with 'E' inside. Celcom & Maxis have blue box only. my Digi dont have..
so i'm assume it is only on GPRS connection..
Is anybody have same problem with me? or anybody have d blue box with 'E' inside that should we have setting anywhere?

any comment?? rclxub.gif

there is no blue box for gsm coverage whilst empty blue box means that you are in a gprs area. an E inside the blue box simply notes that you are currently covered by edge.

maxis has a rather poor coverage for gprs and edge along the north side highway (from my own observation)

as long as u see a 'E' with a circle spinning beside it...then u r online. Once u press the centre button, it will auto log off. If WIFI i look like a 'blue WAVE'.

i can think of 5 simple reasons why your iphone pops up a statement like that:

1. you are currently using 3rd party apps like bosspref to block gprs/edge (disable it)
2. the details on your network apn, username and password are left empty or incorrect (get the correct settings)
3. you are currently using the new celcom 3g sim card (pop by kedai celcom or bluecube shop for 2g sim card card replacement)
4. you are not connected by your network provider to access internet (to reconfirm this, simply try surfing the net on another internet enable mobile phone (run the exact sim card on another mobile phone)
5. if the statement pops up when you are trying to access youtube, you'll need to download the youtube activation app (look through the installer list)

1. only you have the answer to this part; have you ever installed any apps from the installer list like bosspref, itoggle, services etc? if yes, just disable or uninstall all together for experiment sake

2. nope. the details are located in the first page of iphone version 7
