hi just a few Qs

Which is the best - less problematic way of unlocking/jailbreak/activate an iPhone if you wanna do it by ur self.
I know there are a few software out there like - Ziphone/iLiberty/etc....
But which is to choose, esp for noob like me...

ziphone is the easiest way for me...find tutorials on youtube.its easy.

some said iLiberty better.. and some said ziphone is the easiest...

i use ziphone 3.0 to upgrade/unlock

-- Open iTunes & Connect the usb cable to the iPhone

1. download 1.1.4 firmware 1st - Check It Here
2. Enter DFU mode - Hold power + Home button simultaneously until your iphone rebooting/boot
3. Once the apple logo appeared, released Power button but HOLD the Home button.
4. Wait until iTunes tell that you're now on restore mode.
5. Press SHIFT button (Keyboard) & click restore button on iTunes.
6. Select the 1.1.4 firmware and start restoring..

Anyone encounter any problem after jailbreak/unlock ur iphone - ie youtube/wifi/sms/safari/region/contact/etc...
Which is less problematic after unlocking either Ziphone/iLeberty/etc...??

the ziphone has an issue with the BootLoader

the iLiberty on the other hand doesn't

Correct. Easiest method doesn't always mean the best method. It's better for you to do it using a slightly long but right way rather than an easy way and ended up with some serious problems in the future.

There's a link at the bottom of this site which leads you to a guide to unlock your phone. You could try that.

check out iclarified.com..there are guides for both the iLiberty and the Ziphone

You guys should stop zi or liberty amd try out pwnage tool. It's a much safer unlock.

so is it safer just to buy an already unlock/jailbreaked/activated iphone rather than doing it yourself - or the other way around??

I've go throu iLiberty and Ziphone - both look doable to a less techcy noob like me....

Issue likes Bootloader and Fake blank make me a bit confused as how to approach them - should i stay with 4.6 or dg to 3.9 Fb?? and What does bootloader do or its function??

Either buy unlocked or try unlocking with guidance of someone who knows. I was once in your position few weeks back. Worried and all if I screw up the phone.

Then after intensive reading around, I discovered WinPWN tool - like someone said above, one of the most effective way of unlocking without hassle

I dont think so,
All method got pro and cons.
So if you do unlocking by yourself, just pray it will ok,
As far until now I manage to do it.. not matter what unlocking method using.
Trouble free until now..

Nope, there a beta version of winpwn for windows, you can unlock it but need to use installer.app( as i read it ) to install BootNeuter to flashed ur BL( correct me if im wrong ).. HERE is the link for beta version of winpwn and HERE is the tutorial for windows version of winpwn.. it still in beta but i saw a lot of people success in it, and you dont need to unlock it again when new firmware comes out ( correct me if im wrong also ) and can update unding itunes if im not wrong, but its better to use MAC OSX version winpwn, it is say its more stable than windows Winpwn....

I used WinPWN and PWN the phone, and I only seem to need to use the bootneuter to neuter the modem only once.

After that if i restored from iTunes (using the PWNed firmware) it's already good Don't need to bootneuter again.

That is why, unlocking and jailbreaking an iPhone is as easy as ABC for us.

The hard work that put on it should be appreciate and remember to DONATE!!

yup its true..dat the beta version is out and yes many had success..but me no balls to try beta stuff still nt to use bootneuter?? me nt too sure..me read no need..

I didnt say there's no cons of pwnage tool but it covered some of the other unlocking software cons. Understand?
