Refurbish set or new set is the same.
It makes no difference.

TS, when you first got the phone, was it unlocked with ZiPhone? Just curious. If it is, then this adds to the list of probs caused by ZiPhone. For future restore and unlock, don't use ZiPhone again.

The way they unlock is different. ZiPhone uses Ramdisk to unlock which may increase the risk of file corruption and has caused many irreversible damage to phones. Also, ZiPhone hardcode the same MAC address on each iPhone unlocked with it, which means that all of those iPhones will have the same MAC address (it's like all of us have the same IC number. That's a big deal in network computing). - google and you will see all those feedback.

Easiest doesnt always mean the best. tongue.gif

Cheers

Search for "iLiberty" or "WinPWN" (or better still, go to iClarified, under tutorials, iPhone, unlock). Cheers.

From my rich experiences. If the problem only occur after your application installation. You will have to manually ssh2 into the folder and delete the newly installed app's folder. You phone should quit from countless logo reload.

Your next question would probably, how can we ssh2 into iphone if our phone havent booted.

iPhone physical system starts before GUI interface starts and apple logo is the first few loading steps of the GUI interface. You can ssh2 into your phone even if the GUI is dead.

Common reason for dead GUI is probably the file permission setting.

Good luck
