QUOTE(wkyoong @ May 10 2008, 05:13 AM) Cant say much about RAM (not sure about the amount) but N82 has more RAM. Thus it has better performance then the N95. So the N82 with a 8GB card should operate much more smoothly than the N95. I read online it has 128MB of SDram and 256MB ROM.. that really helps esp with youtube/flash files and such..as for the other points raised from above postings, 1. the flimsy/plasticky looking N82 phone, I guess black color helps reduce the cheapo "shine".. 2. Micro USB, hate it... should just stick to standard computer interface = Mini USB 3. also hate it that you can't charge thro USB cable plugged to Computer.. if using is as 3G modem few hours, will kaput the battery unless you plug in the power adaptor (SE no problems, USB from computer will power it like a modem) 4. Video out is like really low QVGA 320x240.. should make it as least VGA 640x480 since yellow composite will support NTSC which is around 640x480, also throw in Svideo if possible haha! probably asking too much.... |

just wondering, how do I send files from PC to the Phone/MicroSD memory storage, if I got the N82 hooked via USB cable to the computer..
on the SE, you can access it via the PC suite software file manager, on the Nokia one, can't find the file manager, only got program manager.. to install programs into the phone via computer. dun tell me I have to manually remove the SD card and plug into the memory card reader to copy files from the computer?? Added on May 12, 2008, 2:08 pmalso, how come when play games, no sound wan (even though select YES when asked about sound during game startup) ? did I miss something? like setting etc.. Added on May 12, 2008, 2:31 pm QUOTE(iRonTech @ May 11 2008, 09:55 PM) is the 3G modem mode(connect to pc) still required establish Dial-Up(the only way?) from windows? irontech.. remember me or not? why you MIA on the other forum? 332 MHz processor, plus 128MB SDRAM which holding up fore/background programs for instant access requirement will consume quite a lots This post has been edited by ar188: May 12 2008, 02:31 PM |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ May 12 2008, 04:13 PM) Pass by Low-Yat Plaza just now. SanDisk 8GB micro-SD package is selling at RM149 SD nowadays dirt cheap... soon 8GB to break the RM100 barrier..Added on May 12, 2008, 6:04 pm QUOTE(bsl555 @ May 12 2008, 02:34 PM) There's 2 versions of Nokia PC Suite. Install the other normal Nokia PC suite. The NSeries PC Suite have a couple of features disabled, such as SMS from PC. I'm using the normal PC Suite and got file manager to do whatever you want with phone. OH, so retarded wan ar this N series PC suite? I tot N series supposed to be elite?Added on May 12, 2008, 6:06 pm QUOTE(cute_boboi @ May 12 2008, 03:12 PM) (1) If you use Connect as PC Suite thanks for the info, so basically use Win Explorer.. not Nokia explorer.. (i) PC must install PC Suite (easiest) or some data cable connectivity drivers. (ii) Open Windows Explorer -> My Computer -> Nokia Phone Browser -> N82 -> Memory card/Phone memory ... (2) If you use Connect as USB Transfer (i) Open Windows Explorer -> My Computer -> [x:] Removable Disk is your memory card. *** If you plug out and insert using USB Reader, it is quite similiar as #2. Method (2) can view memory card only, including hidden files (if you set to view in Windows Explorer) Method (1) can view both phone and card memory, and also perform SMS, etc. This post has been edited by ar188: May 12 2008, 06:06 PM |

QUOTE(iRonTech @ May 15 2008, 06:49 PM) if PC USB charging, usually its obtain 100mA only. I read some article, certain Moto original USB cable (built with some wiring tweak) manage to get 200mA. max = 0.5A(this has explain why mobile usb phone battery will drain if P2P after 2-3 hours albeit its charging) USB Power The USB specification provides a 5 V (volts) supply on a single wire from which connected USB devices may draw power. The specification provides for no more than 5.25 V and no less than 4.75 V (5 Vą5%) between the positive and negative bus power lines.[11] Initially, a device is only allowed to draw 100 mA. It may request more current from the upstream device in units of 2 mA up to a maximum of 500 mA. |
