I am a newbie here. I am going to buy the N82 in a few days time. made up my mind to buy this handphone after reading this forum

Maybe there will be some questions from me in the near future. i hope you guys can help me in any way possible

I will be furthering my studies in London, UK soon. I know this handphone supports only HSDPA 2100. Has anyone has any experience using this handphone in London or even know the 3G networks there? I'm a bit worried if i buy this handphone, i cannot use 3G there. Can anyone help me in this matter?

What i'm scared is that in UK they used other HSDPA 850/1900... because N82 only supports HSDPA 2100. i am planning to use Vodafone when i arrived there. i want to use the prepaid plan. if i have enough money, i want to buy the mobile broadband package for my laptop.

If you say the phone can get 3G, it is avery good news to hear Any other info about this is welcome

I did my survey (i'm livin at alor star) and found these price:

1. Original from Nokia authorised dealer= RM2000
2. Ask for zitron at smaller shops= RM1850 until 1880
3. Some shops tells me that zitron warranty but=rm1500-1600

It is anormal price for 1 and 2. but the third one is quite questionable whether maybe the handphone is original, but the charger/battery/accessories are not original.

Hope anyone can help me in this matter

Bro, i did read the 1st page. the price range do varies, & i am aware of that. but my question is: Is the no 3 choice has original sets or only the handphone is original, but the accessories are not.

For a student like me (back as a student as i want to further my studies ), what are the recommended softwares?
i know there are meny softwares listed in the first page, but i need only the proper softwares for a student. any recommendation?

What is the best antivirus for this hp? thinking of getting Kaspersky Mobile but don't know where to find....

Games and GPS is a must because i will be in UK... don't want to get bored or worst, get lost ... ha! ha!

I don't think that what you find is correct. this is a quote from the first page:

Regarding the photo issue of black & silver, only that website stated it.

i did some research, browse through various websitea and found out that all reviews & comments says it is the same, just the black has latest firmware and look better.

sometime there are tips&tricks applied to make this type of situation.

i'm agree with u bro. i did search in the previous pages and from there i knew that many people are using other type of application to surf the internet such as garmin, opera etc...

what's really wrong with this hp own web browser? is it not good? really makes me wonder

planning to use the kaspersky antivirus mobile. that's why need to know which symbian does N82 used. any recommendation for antivirus is welcome

nice! do you use the trial or original? where to buy the original? scared of using credit card and pay via internet. if i'm not mistaken, the one we download from their web is trial, right?

i'm thinking of using nokia maps @ google map for the gps. but when i download it from ____(forgot the name)___ website, these programs is just in KB.... what do you think? really need a good GPS program because i don't want to get lost when i go abroad to study. any idea bro?

FYI, the prices at alor star:
-Zitron= RM1900-2000
-CSL= RM1400-1700

Guys, i personally recommand the Opera Mini . i am using it and its free. try it guys. many advantages. another thing, the N-gage application ( not the games ) is just the demo. how to detect the differences? if a movie teaser played when you open the N-gage application, it is a demo. the real N-gage application will open and asked for your username (for first time). download the real deal at www.n-gage.com

for my opinion, the way u use the n82, u need to charge it once for a couple of days. if u use 3G like me, you need to charge daily. i will charge my N82 att midnight & it will be ready tomorrow.

There are alot of AP which the price is range from RM1300-1550. if u want cheap, go buy the normal AP. but if you want the warranty to cover all places in Malaysia go for CSL (AP). price for CSL is rm1500+.

like me, i will go to UK this september, that's why i buy the Zitron warranty because it cover worldwide. don't trust the seller telling story about Zitron (negative). Ask from Zitron dealer themselves what Zitron offers. got mine for RM1800. a bit expensive but i get the peace of mind when i buy my N82.
