Try it again with the default....
sometime it cause by the 3rd party theme...

just wondering, how do I send files from PC to the Phone/MicroSD memory storage, if I got the N82 hooked via USB cable to the computer..

on the SE, you can access it via the PC suite software file manager, on the Nokia one, can't find the file manager, only got program manager.. to install programs into the phone via computer.

dun tell me I have to manually remove the SD card and plug into the memory card reader to copy files from the computer?? ...

There's 2 versions of Nokia PC Suite. Install the other normal Nokia PC suite. The NSeries PC Suite have a couple of features disabled, such as SMS from PC. I'm using the normal PC Suite and got file manager to do whatever you want with phone.

(1) If you use Connect as PC Suite

(i) PC must install PC Suite (easiest) or some data cable connectivity drivers.
(ii) Open Windows Explorer
-> My Computer
-> Nokia Phone Browser
-> N82
-> Memory card/Phone memory
...

(2) If you use Connect as USB Transfer

(i) Open Windows Explorer
-> My Computer
-> [x:] Removable Disk is your memory card.

*** If you plug out and insert using USB Reader, it is quite similiar as #2.

Method (2) can view memory card only, including hidden files (if you set to view in Windows Explorer)
Method (1) can view both phone and card memory, and also perform SMS, etc.

I use 2 methods to connect and so far flawless..only transfer speed difference. Bluetooth and USB cable. Of course some functions like updating firmware or Nokia Maps will require USB cable connection. So far all ok..just that I prefer the SE PC Suite in some functionality and somewhat nicer to use.

Pass by Low-Yat Plaza just now. SanDisk 8GB micro-SD package is selling at RM149 at one of the bigger retailer on Level 2.

SD nowadays dirt cheap... soon 8GB to break the RM100 barrier..

The "look" seems elite but functionally crippled in some manner, perhaps priorty to managing multimedia and fun stuff. I too was taken aback when I thought "this is it!"..but no, no!...quickly uninstalled that version and installed the normal PC Suite. I prefer very much to use the PC to sms and can't do without it here at my workdesk.
Hey, afterall the phone seems to have more "fun stuff" than being a fundamental communication device.

isit a wireless router? When u press the "WLAN scanning" it will auto detect available wireless connection, then just select ur router/modem name,key in password then once connected, u can press Start Web browsing. This will bring u into a screen entitled Bookmark, which u can see Web Feeds,Saved pages,auto bookmarks, and also at the bottom got the space to type in address which u want to browse.

hmmm found some interesting bug during the weekend, some of the pictures taken is saved upside down! some sort of camera bug or something to do with all the junks i installed...

anyway did a refresh re installation of the firmware and everything back on track.
