1) N82 CAN be charge using CA-100 USB charger fyi.

2) Yupe, SE is better on music side

3) No comment

4) I thought user friendly & easy to use is one of Nokia selling point?  blink.gif

5) Yupe, shud have better battery life. But if you are using ONLY the function K series has, then I don't think N82 will lose

6) You can install one yourself. Else what for you bought Symbian phone?  sweat.gif

N82 is ALL in One device, as long as it can function as multiple device then should be acceptable right?
1) Agreed, guess stup!d Nok!a saves cost by using low quality material on N82... shakehead.gif

2) Usually I call 1 hours, Radio one-two hours, and receive a lot of SMS in a day, and then the battery low warning tone will start alert.

3) Micro is good, else you want N82 to use MMC card meh? N73 is using same charger as N82 lar bro...

4) This is Nokia's fault

5) Get a 8GB card then! 16GB is coming as well...

6) My only concern is the D-Pad fall out one day... sweat.gif

7) No comment as never try...

if u use a lot of gps, no point taking vanilla n95 over n82 because n95 take a LONG LONG time to get a lock initially, worse if you are in the moving car. n82 gps signal is stronger too.

... might as well get a dedicated GPS device and connect to Symbian/PPC phones.

hrmm?? good option, but to me it's a hassle to pair them up... knowing how "reliable" bluetooth is at the moment.

I'm also beginning to realize that Nokia PC Suite is less user friendly and slower than Sony Ericsson PC Suite. I was actually very happy using SE PC Suite for few weeks. In fact I still use it as my other family phone is still an SE.
In truth, one can never write off SE or Nokia strengths in useability, build quality and performance. But I think phone manufacturers are more STUPID and a STUBBORN lot than camera manufacturers. There's very little to differentiate between say Nikon and Canon. SE and Nokia?.. don't tell me they don't evaluate in depth of each other's products for new models.

Two ways to do it:
(1) Take out the micro-SD and plug into USB card reader
(2) Connect N82 using USB cable, and select USB Transfer on the phone

(a) Set your windows explorer to view hidden files
(b) Look in each of Garmin subfolder for a folder named "_palbtn'. This means the images exists in this folder. To get some idea of the image filename, you can browse in that folder.
© Highlight the relevant image files (.mbm, .bmp, .png, etc.)
-> right click
-> properties
-> set as hidden
(d) delete the "_palbtn" folder and all subdirectories under it.

Yup inside Garmin>Application>_palbtn folder has this .mbm files, i already "right click properties set to hidden"
but still appearing in my Gallery

At C) U said set to hidden right? at D) U said delete palbtn folders and subdirectories under it? Means no need set hidden but can just delete all these palbtn files and won't do harm to garmin?

Those files under _palbtn are the thumbnail images you see in gallery. It is not used by garmin. Yes, you can delete _palbtn and all the subdirectories and files. If it is missing, gallery will auto create when it found relevant images file in the particular folder when you restart gallery.

Just set the actual/original image files to hidden (.mbm, etc.)
Then close and open gallery to refresh it, or try restart your N82.

Hmmm my battery gone from full bar direct to 1 bar and then the phone is off... just few hours of usage.( not slowly decrease but go straight to 1 bar!!)

Just then I recall I screw up bcoz I charge it for just 3 hours for initial use.

I go to shop to exchange for another new battery and charged it 8 hours plus and the problem was away.

So my advice for n82 or other cell phone users is to charge 8 or more hours before initial use.I've learn my lesson.

3. also hate it that you can't charge thro USB cable plugged to Computer..
if using is as 3G modem few hours, will kaput the battery unless you plug in the power adaptor
(SE no problems, USB from computer will power it like a modem)
*
is the 3G modem mode(connect to pc) still required establish Dial-Up(the only way?) from windows?

332 MHz processor, plus 128MB SDRAM which holding up fore/background programs for instant access requirement will consume quite a lots
