Hi all,

I m new in here but I m using P1i since september 2007. Flash 2 time firmware and now using R9J005 R6F41. Just wanna check with u all, wat is ur CDA code? Is that R7A??

I forget to write down my original CDA and firmware version for my 1st time flashing. Even the phonebook also gone when i do my 1st flashing myself in dec 2007 (if not mistaken).

Bout the icons, there is 4 icons cant be changed unless u hack the protecting root folder. I change it before and all my p1i icons/fonts was exactly same with iphone icon. It's just a few simple steps(u can either download existing .mbm file or create new own customized with .mbm tools editor.) ... U can check on http://www.noeman.org in UIQ 3 thread... a lot of UIQ v3 stuff there...

I try before walkman v2.0 and v3.0, i discover that there is some bugs and mess up my firmware.... That y i flash my p1i for 2nd time to clean all those messy thing....... Now my p1i just with normal W960i theme with Iphone icons/text and some other simple apps like gdesk, iphonelock(.sis version), jukebox, X-plorer, Swiss Manager Pro, mgmaps and etc.

I still finding a way to change the wallpaper to animated 1.... Anyone know how to do it?? or it is impossible for p1i ??

This i know, just at the standby menu icons.
What i meant is in the menu itself. Means u click on the menu... grid view... those default icons like multimedia, entertainment, message... and others. Those icon i meant...

yup... u need to get the .mbm file for icons and put in the resources folder... then restart ur phone.....

note that the top bar that show battery indicator also can be change to iphone style... same method like changing menu icon.

Mind giving me a full details?

Thanks please...

lol... i store it in another laptop... check on below link ... this is more theoretical if u want to built ur own .mbm using MBMTools and understand it's concept... just simple like we mod windows boot screen for our PC....hihihi

http://www.p1iblog.com/2007/09/icon-modding.html

the important thing is ALaunchIcon.mbm(is for mod icons) and ZSBLIB.mbm (is for mod battery indicator top panel bar)

I still remember there is a pre-configure zip folder from noeman forum. Just unzip, put in ur memory card resources folder and boot ur p1i again...

then viola, all icons change except for those 4 protected icons, these 4 protected icon u can mod it by accessing into its private folder using X-Plore or SM Pro....

This is one of them (There is a lot icon moding thread in noeman forum):
http://www.noeman.org/gsm/uiq-mobiles/3782...iq-3-phone.html

U can get pre-configure .zip icon mbm... free and easy...

If u really wanna have ur own design, then u need to learn how to work for MBMTool software... i take around 1 week to learn this thing and now I have my own customized iphone icons for my P1i.

Current project: Xperia Gdesk in P1i include all the icons and fonts - u can get from gdesk official web.

due to expensive casing.. better u just use silicon casing to cover up all those scratch.. might be the best solution to prevent from heartache every time u see it..  hmm.gif

sad to see those scratches....

i use silicon case after my crystal case was broke, i can say it's the best for protect it from scratches from drop due to soft surface... Although the silicon case was quite sticky when u want to pull out from ur pant pocket but it's protect ur phone so well when accidentally drop to the floor. 3-4 times I was dropping my phone on ground accidentally when my phone was stick in my pocket, but I can say no scratches was made until now.

There is 1 time, I try to get my phone from pocket while waiting LRT, my hand was slipped and my p1i was drop to the floor and "bounce" (it's bounce, not slide...) from yellow line and hit the metal door... lol... All the people queue on my behind was looking at me... LMAO... so pai seh...

The silicon case that I mean is the 1 cover keypad as well. Although is not good looking stuff, but it's really protect ur phone case.

Finally change my p1i to Xperia X1 gdesk interface, thank to king...

Nah... too expensive for me i guess. Will just wait later for the price to drop. Currently using silicone casing.

By the way, i'm doing my phone icon modding. Anyone done this?
Got a couple of question want to ask some experts...  smile.gif

Why are there some icons not changed after copying those icon files into respective C and D drive? Hmm

Did u change ALaunchIcon.mbm in C:\Resources\Apps\ as well?? U need to access this private folder to change that 4 icons

CHANGE ICONS:

Well, like i said in other posts, the boom right now is the access to protected folders, thing that enable to do a lot of modifications on the phones, and one of them is to change the menu icons. Today we are going to learn how to change those icons.

First of all we need to have access to the protected folders on our phone, if you haven´t do yet you can view a little tutorial HERE!

After you can access to the protected folders, you are going to follow the next steps:

1. Download the next icon package, this is a package extracted from WALKMAN 3.0 style by B.U.S.T.E.R. , it contains all the icons for the menu and the icons of the standby screen: ICONS PACKAGE.
2. Extract the files and put on the memory stick of your phone, any ubication.
3. Open Swiss Manager Pro (before that open CapsSwitch that you installed in the tutorial about how to access UIQ protected folders and press the button Switch to read a message that says “Caps are switched OFF”) and go to the folder where you have the files of the icon package.
4. Copy all the files and go to C:\Resource\Apps\ and paste the files in that folder. Probably it appears you some messages that says “ALaunchIcon.mbm will be overwritten” and you press YES to those messages.
5. That is!!! In some situations, when you open the Main menu you will see the changes inmediately, if not you can do 2 things: In Swiss Manager Pro go to “Task” nail, and here search for an application called Main menu (to view that application you have to configure SMP to view all the applications, even the system applications, the steps are in the article HOW TO CONFIGURE SWISS MANAGER PRO) select the application with the cursor and press the button to kill application, then go to the standby screen and press the access to the Main menu; or you can restart your phone and see the changes.

Download:
Walkman 3.0 player skin(Player skin only... not the full walkman 3.0), Gdesk, Icons, startup/shutdown, and W960i black theme Full Package :

Walkman 3.0 style (FIXED) by B.U.S.T.E.R

N/T: If u r hand-itchy like me, u can change ur default player skin as well. I have i-pod skin for p1i default player. quite nice as well.

Happy Trying.
