QUOTE(emino @ Aug 21 2008, 05:19 PM) I dont think its 'to replace' since I liked 901 better from 904 from whats I've seen from various websites. I think 904 is like an optimized for office version of 901. wellthats what asus distro (Build Tech) office in penang told me that the 901 is not in anymore the model is being replace by 904 QUOTE(rideelegan @ Aug 21 2008, 05:45 PM) herehere you can refer alot of things it a double whammy to learn than to pay -you get to save the money -you learn something This post has been edited by mcchin: Aug 21 2008, 07:45 PM |

QUOTE(seaotter @ Aug 22 2008, 07:54 AM) I am not sure about the 904HD series being a replacement for the 901. on the contrai mean, different users has different needs right? the 901 is perfect for those who wants something as small as the 701, but not too big that they need the 1000H the 1000HD is for those who wants something smaller than a 12" notebook yet do not want something as small as the 901. The 904HD is something asus think is going for those who wants it in between - hard disk, keyboard and space of 1000H but the screen and thus battery life of the 901. but then, Asus is coming out with a no-less than 23 variants of the Eee pc so anything is possible..... in penang Built Tech has informed every one that there are no more 901 will be 901 to replace it call them my self and called gadget zone prai all said the same thing... 904 replace 901, so have to wait for 904 QUOTE(emino @ Aug 22 2008, 09:53 AM) I dunno why people think Acer Inspire One stylist. I think its quite the contrary. I cant stand the gap between the lower body and the lcd body. I with you on the designAdded on August 22, 2008, 10:02 am » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « to much curves plus though the keyboard is normal-er size than eee pc it sort of like a lady with very very big mouth/lips (bigger than angelina jolie one) use full? but not really attractive right? QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Aug 22 2008, 10:45 AM) If nlite n xp needed to be installed in windows environment. Can we install additional copy of xp in sd memory card you got the wrong ideajust in case xp got corrupted and we switch to memory card to boot up xp first. Then again, we use just nlite to instal xp to sdd or hdd. The reason is we do not have external cd rom, and do not know whether eee pc can run on networking without xp [ if corrupted ] Anyone mind to share ? u used the nlite in another workable computer to n-lite a copy of xp (either from disc or from the computer os it self) with this copy of n-lited xp, you used it to install the os on to your eee pc and because the n-lite process eliminated most un-used data/driver from the original xp disc, without disrupting the normal process whats left is a smaller foot print on the ssd after finished installing the os. OT ps: going to receive my eee pc 901 on monday This post has been edited by mcchin: Aug 22 2008, 01:39 PM |

QUOTE(Hico @ Aug 24 2008, 12:46 AM) yeah ..i agree too!! maybe now 1000h still not as welcome as 901, so still got many x stock left...who knows after no more 901, most of ppl will go to 1000h..then..... welleven they are facing shortage i think they will retain back chip for production of 1000 series rather than the 900 series |

QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Sep 4 2008, 09:16 PM) Why don't you go back to exchange for the right size ? saw it from the thread "POYOOSSS" that he tried returning back to the shotThe traders are quite liberal to exchange provided still in good condition. but the "clever" sales girl(i think) say it is the right one |

http://www.softwareag.com/adabasd
here you go Got some preliminary results on the battery of 901 SD Card = 1.3W mouse laser = 0.22W WLAN = 1.9W B-tooth = 1.0W at start the 0W when idle Camera = 1.0W max bright = 1.2W power save to super perf = 1.1W bareless minimum(everything off, minimal brightness) = ~5.675W of no usage, idle normal usage (wlan on, camera off, mid brightness) = 6.452W~11.122W of usage, depend on usage Designed capax = 55272 mWh Full charge capax = 54877 mWh Wear level = 1% so technically at full charge at the bareless minimum of not using, idle => 54.877 / 5.675 = 9.67 hours for normal usage (max) => 54.877 / 11.122 = 4.93hrs .... normal i guess the uttility i used is "notebook battery info" disclaimer: Data is for reference only, not the definitive value. Maximum Wattage use is not neccessary the accumulation of all part usage. |
