anyone know by when the linux 901 coming out?

i need the big hdd space & bluetooth. Plan to use it in car as GPS receiver

i tried using the 901 today.

the keyboard is rubbish. can't even manage to type anything on it without having to retype it twice.

i already use to type on a small keyboard (12.1" dell) but this keyboard doesnt make sense. had to do finger typing to type correctly.

the more sensible keyboard is the aao but w/o btooth....

im waiting for new model for the aao, still with 8.9", but with b/tooth.

It will be then be 'almost' same weight as the 901 but with more practical keyboard.

what do u guys use the eeepc for?

seems to me that it is not much useful if you plan to use it at home...

u can get a bigger screen laptop with that price (RM1999 for 14.1")

don't tell me that you guys sit in starbuck everyday with your eeepc

to me, its too small & too slow to do stuff other than browsing...even typing on this is ridiculous, so forget about doing assignment

the TZ series are meant to be portable yet retain the functionality of full size laptop i.e dual core, big hdd, various wireless, BT etc and reasonable size screen 11"

you can do things like normal laptop just with lighter weight & long battery time. There is no problem typing, doing calculation in excel (with AV running) without lagging. No problem here means that you dont have to be an acrobatic to type on those small keyboard nor have to have bionic eyes to look at the screen

but the netbook is just barely enough to install win xp and run antivirus in the b/ground. The keyboard is crap, and the screen is too small to do long typing assignment (without you getting headache).


I know comparing both is mute because of the price, but again, to me this 8.9" UMPC is just another gadget, and not something that you want to replace be it desktop or laptop.


Take note that im not bashing the UMPC owners here, because I myself love gadget & plan to get 1 soon to be use as GPS in the car.

But other than that, I dont see any significant use of the netbook....

if its that cheap, i will go DM tommorow

the easiest way is to go to the Power Setting and change either Lid Close or Press Power button to hibernate.....

I set my laptop (not eeepc) to press power button to hibernate & close lid to standy..

much more practical & faster

guys what is the price of the 900 or 1000 series range now?

im contemplating to get either the low end netbook or the hp tablet pc

i dun like the 900/901 keyboard size but its very light

or maybe should i go for the aao

how much is the 1000h now? last i heard its rm1999 not rm17xx

rm470 for hdd upgrade...

that is 25% of the laptop price...

its too xpensive upgrade for a 'low-end' laptop

better get hdd than the ssd

first you get bigger storage size, and secondly with the slow processor you wouldnt gain any improvement on ssd, on top of it the ssd is the low-end version...

hdd is the better choice

how many of you actually accidently drop your laptop b4? if it drop, not only the hdd will damage, lcd most probably also will damage

try avast...

its free and have recovery option

if all 160g comes with 5600mah, its not reseller issue
