Guys, I just bought an eee pc 901 and I have a problem. After the bios update to the latest one, my eee pc no longer detects sd card. help?

Aiyooo, where is the nearest Asus service center then?

Nevermind bro, I do a quick google and found out another updated bios was recently released (12/8/08). Install it and it fix it .

Will never again update from the update software they provided!

I just bought a 16 gig SD card and an external dual layer dvd writer (slim) for my baby eee. Hehe~

Haha... Does ISA even have a logo? And if they do, I bet its not as nice as the FBI one.

I upgraded to the bios before 12/8 (the second one in the updater software), and my eee cant detect sd card. Since the updater did not shows the 12/8 bios, I found it while googling and it fixes that problem!

For those who wanted my FBI Logon Screen, you can click here to get it.

You'll need some programs that will install windows xp logon. This one is free and will work I suppose. link



I just remove Agent Emino to Agent on the bottom right screen for this version. That's all.

Note: The logon screen was made with 1024x600 resolution of EeePC 900-901 lines, so if you wanna try this on your desktop/other laptops, be my guest, but dont blame me for anything!

I dont use that program since I used another shareware program. I assume it should be like this though based on the screenies of the software...

1. Download the logon file and put it in a folder.

2. Install logon loader. Go to settings and change the directory to your logon folder.

3. Go to browse, select the FBI logon and click apply. Done.

Yeah. I'm also considering SNES and GBA games as well. Those should run quite fairly on Eee PC.

That would be pointless since people used GPS to find ways through the road and I'm a motorcycle rider. Haha~

Battery life 901 is better I think. HDD uses way more power and produces more heat than SSD. Plus, they (the HDD) are not as shock resistant as 901's SSD.

Get SATA. PATA/IDE is the old HD. It's slower. Plus, most device nowadays uses SATA so the lifespan of product is longer.

Price wise, it about the same nowadays.

Well, from google, I learn that they uses regular hard disk instead of SSD and the keyboard are a bit different.
