i think they want to put some speakers at the side... making it look like a bigger 701 with full keyboard... but same screen.... added the speakers at the side...

i dont think people will buy 904 and 905. 8.9" on a 10.2" chasis is not a good idea. Most people bought eeepc because of its mobility. if use 10" chasis, better buy a normal 12" laptop which is more powerful.

I was about to get the 900 but saw the 901 being launch and I have the contact to get one so I went ahead. I used to carry one bag with my working tools now with the eeePC 901 I still carry the same bag but have to neatly arrange all the stuff and the bag hardly looks any stuffier, well maybe 1.1Kg heavier jackdon. Balok, Given the choice, I would definitely go for 900. In fact I am waiting 901 as I want bluetooth. 701 will make me blind ... |

QUOTE(jackdon @ Jun 30 2008, 09:43 PM) kimganner, haha...yeah. too right. esp since Macbook's got no multitouch touchpad.I am still learning or trying to remember so much multitouch, with one finger, two finger, three finger, up down sideways, tap..... but after a while it seems to be pretty handy. I like the 3 finger swip up to bring up the my computer, I change the two finger tap to minimize, the tap tap and hold is just great. Yup you have to get use to the timming. I am sure you cannot compare with your MAC on these feature. Still learning, jackdon. Balok : i'd go with 900...cos 7" is seriously small. you'll end up squinting yourself blind. think right now the trend is for 701 users to eventually upgrade to 900. |

I've had my black 900 for a weeek, delivered from Qwerty Online (nice ppl). Looking at what's happening with new Asus announcements, I got the right model for me. 5 mins after my colleague's little daughter started playing with it, he said he's getting one for her. Some questions for the Linux-savvy: [1] My unit does not have the antivirus mentioned in all the instructions....? [2] I've downloaded Google Earth as bin file. How do I install it? [3] Can a BT dongle be installed or any brand Linux ready? eee-111 |

QUOTE(cowboy_bebop @ Jul 2 2008, 07:18 AM) actually, that's very similar to what Shuttle has...tho that's meant to go with their SFF CPUs...QUOTE(blurprincess @ Jul 2 2008, 09:16 AM) i was wondering 1 week ago as u.. but after considering, i go for 900 as: yeah...same here. hehe1. weight issue... i'm a girl and +300gm means a lot to me.. 2. bluetooth, we can have 1 small additional small device anytime. 3. atom processor... for normal online and some documentation, i dun think it's means a lot to me. for those who need mobile one, go for 900 is better because it's smaller and lighter.. actually, by the time i add in all my barang2, you feel the weight on the bag already. tho still not 1/2 as bad as lugging around a 13" Macbook lah. for BT...can be a later addition to take up 1 of the 3 USB ports (i seriously don't use until all 3 so far...at most 2/3). i quite like the size of the Logitech VX Nano mouse punye connector. but i think that's like a proprietary wireless connection thing? cos doesn't seem to be any indication that it's a BT mouse. + i already have a BT mouse... & honestly lah, imo, the bigger keyboard is cos of the ang mohs...most of the reviewers from Europe/US all give the same feedback still about 900/901 : screen improved, but keyboard still too small/cramped for them.
