Guyz, Need some help

I'm planniing to get Asus Eee PC 1000H to replace my 3 years old notebook.
I'm not much into gaming....ie pc games....
For me, I'm more into
1. Microsoft Office ie word, excel.
2. Youtube...And other video streaming site.
3. P2P...Ie torrents, limewire and etc.
4. Video conversion.D
5. Burning DVD's....ie via external drive.
I'm planning to get this as it easier to bring it to off./ out station...

So, do u guyz think its ok for me to get the eee pc 1000h?

TQ biggrin.gif

Is any of the 90x and 1000 series Eee's with touchscreens?

Disappointed... it's probably something easy to design in and manufacture (hence the easy availability of the touchscreen conversion kits online) by Asus, but probably it doesn't make business sense. I am tengah syiok with my HP TX2000 tablet PC but at 2kg and 12.1" is still abit bulky to be really mobile. But the form factor when folded rivals an opened EeePC... now imagine if the Eee can also be folded and be a tablet...

Yeah, the Kojinsha has all of those features... but I'm thinking of something around 9" screen and has a beefy CPU too... OK, plus I have an irrational preference for Asus stuff.

for P2P stuff, it's more down to storage space, imo...think the eeePC can still handle the d/l part. but u gotta make sure u got the space first.

for Kohjinsha, i've seen their laptops, incl the one with the built-in optical drive. nice. tho i personally don't need the touchscreen & i don't fancy the whole swivel thing that comes with a touchscreen/tablet type laptop. but just note that it don't come cheap. the SR model costs SG$1.5k+ in S'pore (Sim Lim Square). rclxub.gif

for sure. can probably pay for 2 eeePC 1000H even. or just go for a proper full size laptop.

& i don't think Asus can get away with selling the eeePC 1000H at SG$1.5k anyway w/o a built-in optical drive. but then the Kohjinsha SR is still cheaper than a Macbook Air...hehe tongue.gif

Does Kojinsha or Fujitsu or anybody else have a 10" touchscreen tablet UMPC that's about 1kg and have 4 hours battery life?
Don't think so, but that's my ideal UMPC if it ever comes out...

I doubt it because the 900 cannot also get from the local distributor.
