Is a Microsoft Visual C++ going to work on the EEEPC 701 as well? The HDD space is only 4gb, will it be enough for the office programs? smile.gif

I don't think any other price would be as cheap as Asus could go.. They have lots of experience with UMPC with their Eee701...

VIA's Isaiah CPU architecture has been rebranded Nano. Competition for Intel's Atom? Source
QUOTE
VIA Nano is the first 64-bit, superscalar, speculative out-of-order processors in VIA’s x86 product line-up.... Nano offers about 1.6x to 3.2x the performance of the C7 clock-for-clock while within a similar, albeit somewhat higher, power envelope.

Good news? Should start seeing it in the market Q3 2008...

Hehehe I have a feeling that by 3rd quarter of 2008 there will be many UMPCs coming out...I think I might as well wait till then to decide since I'm out of budget now. Then I can have a broader choice...downside is maybe more expensive by then...
