It's a well known problem for M1330 series only. wink.gif

Recently my graphics card has some problems.. as it was soldered into the motherboard..Good thing it was under warranty at that time. it was replaced also FOC.
Now my warranty is coming to an end. I called up Dell to extend the waranty.. to my horror the warranty for one year is RM 1200!!..
It's very very expensive!

I would like to know how is your usage on the M1330 ? Do you usually stress the graphic card like playing some graphic intensive games or maybe 3D rendering and so on ?
*
i only using it for normal office applications ie excel and access.. occasionaly photoshop... rarely any movie.. ... maybe a couple during the last year..

I am not renewing the warranty cos it's too expensive... next time I would really go for the three year one.

Check out this news from Engadget
>> http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/02/nvidia-...s-are-defectiv/

Then check out Dell's new driver for 8400M GS
>> http://supportapj.dell.com/support/downloa...n&catid=&impid=

Bad news as in we've got a faulty part, or good news as in nvidia fessed up and taking responsibility?

No direct mention of M1330, but this is too much of a coincidence.
