the services they provided is really good larr..
few days ago,my XPS got problem with graphic card..
before i called them,i dunno what happen with my laptop.
they suspected my graphic card was spoiled..
the next day,a man came my house and changed whole motherboard then can use already...good service right?

this is my 2nd time changing my mobo ... 1st was coz of the cpu whining, 1 call next day come replace the whole mobo which they say is the heatsink problem .... this time i email them and they called me and they coming to change the mobo again..

1 problem is when they come change the mobo very heartache coz need to take out everything only can change... the previous engineer told me this xps1330 very mafan coz its too compact and everything is packed togather.. lol

i try talk to the engineer about the copper mod .. and see if he knows anywhere can get the copper sheet and maybe recommand dell to use this mod even though it only lower around 10'C ... its better than ntg ...

hey guyz, very very long din come into a M1330 thread and first time coming into version 2..

anyway, any users here have battery problem?
i have a 9-cell battery and few days ago i cant charge it ...
when i plug into my xps, it can detect but with the status "Not Charging" ... at the LED display the battery sign will be flashing in red/orange ...
then when i press the battery status button, only 3 led blinks (right, center, left) ....

does this mean my battery times up d? anyone else have this problem? ...
i was one of the 1st few batch who got m1330 after its introduction .. so my lappy is around 2+ yrs old ...

tried taking it out and putting it back alot of times d ... but still unable to charge cry.gif..

today, i took it to lowyat dell shop and they told me to call the dell technician as there isnt any m1330 there to test on .. sad.gif

anyway, i read online and found out dell battery led strip can check the life of the battery ... press on the 'check battery' button for at least 3secs, then the LED will lid up, 1 led lights up means battery is healthy while the more leds lid up means its time ... i checked mine and its 4 leds light up ... just sharing smile.gif

after expired lorh.
Yesterday, the engineer come and install a new mobo.
So far, my XPS works well but i can still notice the heat, eventhough not that bad.
What is the best N highest RPM cooler available in the market currently ?
*
hmm .. i surveyed ...
some nice cooler is Infinite CoolerMaster and Zalman N1000/N2000 (not sure i spelled correctly or not but u will surely notice it) ...

QUOTE(M4A1 @ Nov 25 2009, 06:36 PM)

so far only changed mobo once, coz last time i seldom off my laptop ... now everything seems fine and working great after having the habit to off comp and don play games for too long .. then at some times will take over the fan for some cleaning and replace the thermal paste ...

best if you just call Dell and ask them straight
their dedicated XPS hotline (if i'm not wrong) is 1800-88-5784

i just called them about extending my warranty which is expiring this May, apparently it costs RM800 for 1 year, RM1500 for 2 years and RM2190 for 3 years (your warranty can only go up to 5 years maximum from date of purchase)

also i'm gonna buy a new battery and it costs RM320 for the 6-cell one and RM390 for the 9-cell one

wanna ask you guys how long can your laptop last with a 6-cell battery and 9-cell for those who have

Added on February 4, 2010, 1:33 pmalso wanna ask if anyone knows the price of extending warranty in Australia, i actually bought this laptop over there and might go there soon, so if it's cheaper i'll just do it there
*
wow RM800 .. that means ur xps is still under warranty and u r extending right? ...
i got quoted RM1150 for complete cover, laptop warranty expired about 1yr +++ ago, i was one of the first few batch who got this xps after it released ....

my 9 cell battery died off too but i didnt get from dell, bought some aftermarket one off ebay but havent really tested it yet coz my current mobo KO d ... my ori 9cell can last for around 3hrs+++ with wifi and full brightness ...

i am not sure about Australia but i think its almost the same, IMO, aus might be more expensive coz u still need to convert unless u work and live there ...
