Have a new xps1330. While it does work fine, but I find the DVD player extremely noisy. I reckon is must be the noisiest I ever encountered. Is that normal?

"X You are not the only customer that encounter this issue, and replacing the motherboard with the graphic processor that came with it has helped our customers to fix this issue."

This is interesting. So I checked my log chat and this is what she says "My customers never encounter such issue before."

That makes both of us being First. So how many 'first' can there be?

A quick question. Playing game like Rakion. Will the standard Intel 3100 cut it? Or do we have to use 8400 card?

My brand new XPS1330 with T7250 2.0Ghz, 3GB RAM, 320G HDD and Nvidia 8400, BIOS is A12. But video driver seems to be old 7.15.11.5655. Running Vista Home Premium.

Performance rating is 4. What are others getting?

Can someone tell me more about the biometric fingerprint scanner work?

Can the xps be set up to gain access by EITHER fingerprint scanner or password. Or it must be both? thanks.

Long story. 2 xps1330 went through my hand recently 2 weeks apart so no side-by-side comparison. One with normal LCD (LG-Philip) and the other with LED (Toshiba) screen. Want to comment on picture quality.

They are the same as far as my memory could recall. The ONLY difference is the viewing angle. With LED, looking at any angle will give you great pictures, exactly like desktop LCD. Not so with LCD, for example, sit too low in the chair and you get lousy picture.

My conclusion: For RM330 extra. They are fair value for money. Not over-valued or under-valued.

One unit has Nvidia and the other Intel X3100. Heat wise, Nvidia seems only slightly warmer, if at all, than Intel when placed flat on tablet with no cooler. Not a lot of differences. But I don't play game.

New 1330 with LED screen and Intel graphic. 6-cells battery. Playing DVD. Brightness 2 click down. Sound at 1/2. Will only play for 1 hour 55 mins before auto shut down. What are other getting as far as battery power is concerned.

Thanks.

When I placed my order a few months back, I was quoted:
1. RM800+ for extra 2 years with Complete Cover
2. RM500+ for extra 2 years without CC.

Making a total of 3 years. 1st year comes with CC.

For normal office usage, both Nvidia and Intel 3100 give out the same amount of heat.......as according to my hand held thermometer.....my palm.
