If anyone watching Lucky Star would remember, in once scene it was featured Kagamin in Konata's house reading several manga, and two of them included Mirai Nikki (which would also be animated) and Ga-Rei. Moon Phase has commented that in volume 6 of the manga, it was announced that the series will be animated. Considering that this is one underrated manga here, i would like to say one thing. f*** YES!!!!

I post this up bcoz this anime plot seems not going as i expected (a normal anime find for evil then hunt for final boss) , the 1st episode kill off ALL the characters available LOL made me interest to find out it at next episode

looking from a neutral perspective [have not seen the mango] it seems quite good. Though that is a rather unconventional first EP.

btw, i re read the manga. Apparently the main chars from the manga are from the ministry of environment. The squad that got wiped out is from the Ministry of Defence.

Btw, if treat this anime as a new story anime & not frm manga...i think not bad la, make's the story running that way.

But certainly is not adapted from manga lor. Still prefer the ga-rei manga story.

uh what makes you all think those are the main characters. imo, yomi is the only main character(be it protagonist or antagonist) showed so far.
1st 2 episodes have been intriguing. im interested now, a different way of starting off..

btw, ive never read the manga yet. how is it ? i've just read summaries and wiki entries. the 2 sword wielding girls in ep 2 are the same from the manga ?

just read through the manga. im pretty convinced that this anime is the prequel. depicting the "2 years ago" event of yomi killing 70 or so of the department agents that they kept saying in the manga. probably will end with yomi killing kagura's father, kagura killing yomi and kagura getting byakuei.

Yup.. looks very interesting but each time i got feel that this is the hero or heroin of the story then the writer keep killing them off. Kagura is damn cute and she died ady. SOB... she suppose to win the fight.. what is this anime about ??? Dont tell me the ending will suddenly come out a 3rd party and kill all the youkai and end the story. lolx.

I just watch the uncensored version and man it rock.. lolx. Super violence and damn nice. Waiting for episode 2 uncensored now

Yup. Seems episode 1 and 2 is the present and now they are doing flashback. Seems quite boring in Episode 3 as they explain about the origin of Gai Rei and training the two sisters went through (not real sister though) . Hope next episode will pick up with more violence. Hehe

Both episode 4 & 5 was cool although not much action but made me kinda sad seeing how close the two were once.... I wonder if there are more uncensored version other than episode 1...

Just finished it, a fun but sad ride... Didn't expect it to be a yuri show though....

overall i felt its a decent show, however i still question the purpose of the 1st episode's "main" characters,



as this is a supposed prequel, i guess/hope there will be a next Ga-Rei

Its a major rickroll to fans of the manga and new viewers.

I also wonder if they have any purpose since it seems yomi was around when the "main character" pointed his gun at his girlfriend.

its a 12 episode anime and is kinda of a prequel to the manga..i really hope they will continue the anime like what's stated in the manga..coz it would be really cool like that where kagura meets kenichi..
