The ver 8 felt sluggish especially during opening of web pages. My P4 2.4 notebook and Desktop AMD xp 2600 felt the sluggishness.
I've reverted back to ver 7.5 and it is way faster on both machines now. Could be that both pc's are outdated i suppose |

Nah, I doubt it's your hardware. I'm on an overclocked C2D and it's still sluggish.I've reverted back to ver 7.5 and it is way faster on both machines now.
