woohoo.. our local product to combat the Toyota Rush... anyone seen the car yet? i'd be damn disappointed if it looks exactly like a Rush.. considering Daihatsu is now owned by Toyota...

yep.. this will definitely affect their resale values.. luckily didn't buy Rush... if not end up losing more!

i still say the Nautica looks like a Rush... can't see any differentiation.. they might as well release an "peroduaize" an avanza while they are at it...

you've missed out the slimming program that the Rush has gone through... small petite size and er.. definitely smaller heart in the bonnet... oh yea, lost the 4WD transaxle as well... so more than a nose job.. more like a slim job.. hahaha

yeap, agreed.. nautica should not be a suitable name.. they've been doing so well with the small animal names.. why suddenly nautica? sounds like that clothing label

yea.. i did a little more reading on paultan's website... it seems that the only difference between the nautica and the rush is that one is a 5 seater and the toyota model is a 7 seater... so much for differentiation...

so by shortening the wheelbase and calling branding it under a different marque justifies a new car... i'm still thinking it's a rip off..

won't be much of a badak if it is a 5 seater...

agreed.. if they do this.. they will be heading into proton territory... but then again.. proton has been eating into perodua's territory by releasing the savvy... so i guess.. it's just a return smack-in-da-face to them..

how can u have a CBU malaysian car??? it just does not make sense... if it is a CBU.. then it should be built in m'sia... not in the land of the rising sun... perodua is really losing the plot here....

that is a very high price for a perodua... where did u get this pricing from? if u don't mind us asking... this will affect a lot of purchases

wahhh 100k for perodua... really will raise a lot of eyebrows.. rush 80k territory... i think paying for a toyota badge would be better bang for your buck.

wahh saw the ad today in the newspaper and short write up of the car in the Star business section... RM 89k on the road... like we all discussed.. too pricey for a p2... and they have always been saying that they make affordable cars for the rakyat
