it is a short wheel base RUSH, 5 seater compared to rush 7 seater. but in 4wd mode. Price starts from RM80k. so it is expensive compared to rush, but quality wise, should be better in terms of interior trim coz its in black. and CBU from Japan.

it is not assemble here, its a CBU from Japan. No changes, everything is a Daihatsu Be-Go except the D badge is replaced by P badge. thats about it. above is just artist impression. it should look similar to this: This post has been edited by mockv1per: Apr 24 2008, 02:08 PM

QUOTE(analyzer85 @ Apr 24 2008, 02:28 PM) if p2 prices this car >60k, it'll be their most expensive model yet. my guess, if they had to replace the kembara with a CBU, it should be between 55-65K.. rm70k is probably way above their intended consumer market... notice how toyota seems to be bringing in CBU cars nowadays instead of CKD kits? e.g. toyota camry.. used to be locally assembled now buying from thailand.. y is it so eh? have to wait 4-6months to get the car some more.. but sadly u cant get it at RM55k. it will be more than RM85k. if it is RM55k, it is the cheapest SUV CBU available today from Japan. Its a 4wd, equipped better than a Rush, interior looks better than Rush, but its only 5 seater.

QUOTE(yngwie @ Apr 29 2008, 05:27 PM) if i am not mistaken, both are using the same platform. we may just slot in the 3rd row seat, change the badge to toyota rush.... and it's a good as 7 seater already by importing a cbu unit and 4wd with their badge on it, the perodua's naughty car is making a mock of the rush. nope, different platform, Nautica is short-wheel base. u cant just simply slot in 3rd row seat i'd take Suzuki Grand Vitara over this one this time..

why dont they sell it under Daihatsu name then? ppl will buy it since its a Daihatsu, not a Perodua. they should have sell Rush 7 seater instead of this 5 seater Terios. this is phail... failure by Perodua. Rush, cheaper than Nautica and can ferry more people, that is what malaysian want and expected from Perodua. Toyota should sell the Nautica under their badge and current Rush for Perodua. Thats how things work here.

QUOTE(seanlimys @ May 2 2008, 12:20 AM) hhmmpph...but is it worth it to buy those small cars? guess the price is very competitive in the sense that city and vios much larger.. it depends on individual taste and preference. its like saying is it worth it to buy a two seater sports/supercar like Elise, Ferrari etc when you can buy a 7 seater SUV or MPV. nitsujyuen, dont be lazy, you can browse few pages back and the price range starts from RM80k-100k.

Daihatsu is under Toyota, so basically Perodua falls under Daihatsu and itself automatically fall under toyota.. Thats y most ppl say Perodua have the quality of a Toyota

Vios and City is a different league compared to Nautica.. 4X4 SUV compared to a sedan? be realistic. it is still the cheapest CBU 4X4.
