There are a few apps that you could install...MobileChat or Apollo IM (they dont support YM i think but they do support MSN)

Anyhow, go to this site, scroll down and you'll see a list of webapps for chatting there. You could try all of them and choose those that you like. But mind you that all these are webapps - have to run them using safari.

Have fun chatting on your iPhone then...

Cheers

As long as it's wifi, its free....

But on EDGE/GPRS, you have to pay the telco smile.gif

Been using fring and its great. But its still in the early stage so there will be bugs here and there. Haven't got the chance to pair the Digi line with iPhone ... if not then I'll be online 24/7. Wahahahahahaha.

I suggest that you dont install fring first. I have a friend who tried to install it the other day and ended up opening a can of worms. Just let it to settle down to a stable version first. It's best to use what are provided at the moment.

You could try installing iRadio, but at the moment I think the iPod function is the best multimedia app on the phone.

MobileChat is great, I'm using it but like other native apps, has a tendency to crash after a while..

I don't really like using web-based chat clients on the iPhone. Main reason is because Safari doesn't hold the sessions for long for some reason. If you leave the meebo page and come back after a while, the page will go blank and you'll have to reload.

Nothing to do with meebo, more to do with Safari. You'll notice that if you open several pages at the same time, when you go back after a while, the page will be blank and needs to be refreshed. It's a very annoying bug that I hope will be corrected in version 2.0..
