It's been a long time since I posted in AMD oc thread. Nvm, I'll help out a bit.

First I notice ur using Asus Crosshair  drool.gif

Anyway, what's the main problem ? Cannot boot after going for higher bus speed ? Try loosen up your ram timing first. IMHO, cl4 is tight. Try opt for cl5 and proceed with your oc. And 2.05v for your vdimm ? Try 2.15v if cannot boot. And let us know the result aite  icon_rolleyes.gif

Yup, its unable to boot wit higher bus speed . . . i dun even know which multiplier to start wit. Its bios has too many options, which i couldnt understand most of it sweat.gif . K ill try wat u mentioned.

Here's wat i got . . . but not stable, only manage to run in orthos for 24 minutes. Before this it only ran for 8 minutes at 1.38 vcore, i increased to 1.42 vcore it lasted 24 minutes. Does this mean i have to pump more vcore?

I tried running my proc to 1.5 vcore for 3.3 ghz . . . ran orthos for bout 5 mins without realizing my cpu fan on lowest 1500 rpm, temps went to 59 C. So, blast full at 3500 rpm, became 54 C. But after 20 mins, fail in orthos . . . 1.5 v, not enough.

*
Haha, model num n stpck speed only diff . . . u a little harder since need to oc more to past 3 ghz. But ive seen many websites, in order to oc to 3.2+, their vcore damn high, some even up to 1.6v but on wc. cry.gif I only using super loud gigabyte at 1.5v already cannot take it. sweat.gif

How bout your ram speed?
Sometime it might due to your ram as well.

If you wan to find the processor limit, better use the lowest ram divider. wink.gif

-pWs-
*
do you mean by cpu divided by X (cpu/7 or 8) . . . if yes, i just put mine on auto. Previous page got a snap shot, just the same. Hope can help me out.

Yup...that is the divider.
Please refer to the table on the 1st page for more information.

If you wan to overclock, better understand how to see the table.
It is very important.

-pWs-
*

You can refer to the SPI database by clicking on the time.
There are screenies attached by our AM2 fellows' benchies.

You can always refer to how they overclock.
It might help you. smile.gif

-pWs-
*
doh.gif i was trying to look for their screenies the whole time . . . didnt know its at the spi timing, really thx a lot pws.

thanks for the reply xixo.
No, im not folding at all. I just do some mini benchmark for my PC. Running Crysis high settings and high reso. stress my computer out to see that max temp. It stays 52C max when load. just a lil bit worried if there any burn mark on my proc if i daily OC.
*
huh . . . if we oc n temps too high can hav burn marks on the proc? Gosh!

Loosen the Refresh Cycle Time.

I can see that you using different value for both of rams.
Make it synchronized.

-pWs-

by changing to 75 right?
