Auto Overclocking is not really safe d.Becos sometimes it doesnt adjust the voltage and timing correctly = =.Manual OCing is the best.

Last time when i use it..i dont know la so i set it to Extraordianry OC.It ran at 2.6Ghz however..the voltage at stock..= = keep getting BSOD..

Now my motherboard... can go over 3.138 ghz, but sure ask me choose profiles when boot up, if times up no choose then go back default bios settings.. at 3.138, no asking..

i would like to ask about mobo thing..is it Abit AN52S is a good mobo to OC?coz just now i tried to OC,now my current clock speed is 3111.5Mhz,Multiplier x13,Bus Speed 239.4Mhz and HT Link 1196.7Mhz..hmm i'm using 5000+ X2 brisbane..  " i want to up again the speed..but duno whether it will harm my mobo or not..its a 3 phases mobo.. |

its like this..amd have on-die chip where it controls the memory from the proc..not like intel..so, the faster the clock, the harder for u to keep up with the ram speed..

Anyone wanna try the Phenom 8650/8750?
If you have a mobo chip that can push HTT to 250, the later will run at 3Ghz stock volts, possibly even more. It's definitely less TDP limited than its older brother, and hopefully enough for 3.3 stock topping. |

But then again you are going from dualcore to 3 core. Maybe got some driver conflict there. Try booting in safe mode and uninstalling the processor driver. |

that looks real bad..maybe ur mobo have faulty sensor, or everest got problem...try stress ur pc with everest system stability test..(located at the tool toolbar) and from there capture the ss of the voltages after 10 minutes of stressing

HT link speed can NOT exceed NB clock speed, but HT link can be lower than NB core clock. NB Clock is what decreases L3 cache latency and so improves performance. Those Phenoms are really cheap.The price nearly to E8400,Q6600 and Xeon 3110.But it cant win on par..= =.So far Phenom X3 8750 could only beat those C2D in multitasking,multithreaded but not in games.Only SOME GAMES the X3 is better than C2D.

Trust me, at 3Ghz or even 2.8Ghz, it's fast enough. It won't bottleneck 2 graphics cards.
And it whips the E8400 when you're actually trying to multitask, unlike the review environments where they have a clean copy of XP with virtually NOTHING running and therefore not measuring load balancing and all. |

Needed help from sifu here, Just now bought AMD Phenom 9750 and installed on my Biostar TA770 A2+. I got 2 Hard disk . So when booting detected AMD Phenom 9750 Quad-Core Processor but cannot boot to windows. (XP and Vista).
Message : AMD Data Change - update New Data to DMI Then straight to Window Error Recovery and ask to select option such as boot in safe mode kind of thing. No matter what option i select the system will reboot and repeat the whole process. What is happening. Any one can help....Is it something to do with the mobo bios? |

hmm, 9750 is the 125w processor also right? Too bad, it might not work properly in either 770a or 780 chipset due to some power thing. I read this up somewhere..forgot where already..thats y they recommand 790 for phenom proc.

well, no 780 chipset can support ler i think...Wait let me dig up the source..it's due to some layout or something in the motherboard design..Many brands having this problem lar -.- Found it. It seems not all brand has the chipset to support 125w proc. amd-phenoms-hit-comptibility

Hmmm.....with regards to the new architecture, when exactly did they decide to start on an architecture from scratch?? If it has indeed been in the pipelines for quite a while then I have high hopes for it, but if its just a knee-jerk reaction to the unsuccessful(i wouldnt say total failure) of Phenom then I would be more hesistant, coz these things takes pretty long to develop

Habuk, try cooling your PWMs. They get quite hot on the M2RS.
Hopefully this allows you to push extra vCore and HTT to 3G. Even if it doesn't OC better, cool PWMs are safer and make a board last longer. |

I just got the F3 from dblooi. Still playing with it. Currently at 3GHz 1.3V (Orthos needs more, even Crysis runs fine at 1.285V)

K10 has DTS spoiled as well if i'm not mistaken.
Try to touch the base of the heatsink, see whether it is hot or not, more than 50C should be very hot when you touch on it |

Last time with two fans, I touched my CM GeminII with full load also not that hot at the base. Try touch your heatsink base. If it goes up to 50'c it should be hot, if not then DTS problem.

let say im using value ram 667mhz. basically, during OC, we need to make sure that the ram speed will not go higher than 667mhz, since we are OC-ing processor, not ram, no? so.....there is no need for extra voltage at ram right? since the ram clock speed is not higher than its original value.. |

On-die mem controller is only on amd..intel use chipset..so the proc architecture wont be so messed up, as the mem controller is outside of the die..
this may be the reason why intel can put lots of cache and have better architecture.. @najmods..wif that budget of yours, maybe ull consider to save a bit and get a better cooler such as tuniq or xigmatek? if cant, go wif cm 212..its better than AC64 IMHO...correct me if im wrong.. |

But isnt the G2 has error in detecting temp?Try touch your Heatsink whether its warm or hot.Btw,Intel Nehalem OC will be limited to mainstream user.Anyone heard this?Means Intel Nehalem Proc only those extreme are able to OC very well.

And put it back one by one, the crucial part is putting up the cooler, make sure the cooler base is fully touched with the proc IHS. And do apply a rice grain of TIM on top of your proc IHS. Better cable management does help in reducing the heat too. Try to measure the temp with several different software. Good luck. |

it's a bit weird when ppl keep saying brisbane got problem..
but my one is ok.. since my friend also no problem using BE.. isit becoz of the batch.. @adeas if u touch the heatsink n not too warm.. than it should be ok.. i got the reading.. idle - 3+ load - 50 sometimes the mobo itself got problem.. |

My cpu diode reading was believable but the core readings were whacked. Got a 9500 phenom(stock HSF) with Biostar TA770+ The thing is.. my best OC with it is 2.54ghz and its freaking hot, i'm worrying. 55c at load. Weird thing is the temp did not go higher... throttling at work? I think forking out rm100+ for a gemini II or whatnot does not justify for a mere 100mhz increase. Safe clock would be 2.42ghz where load temps are not over 50c. Usually around 45-47. Anyone able to push a 9500 to 2.6ghz stable or even 2.8ghz??? |

Very weird, my 335x9 wasn't stable when playing games even if its stable at Super PI 32M
I need to pump more voltage to keep it stable (1.4V), looks like I better with 320x10 (3.2GHz) 1.4V. Might be it hits the HTT wall like on my previous Windsor F2, or is there any logical explanation for this? |

i don't think using SP 32MB alone is enough to ensure the clock's stability.
usually i'll do at least 2 hours CPU blend, or 8 hours straight, to make sure it's totaly stable.. then start playing games and all.. |

When even I give it load only 30 sec on orthos it jumps like mad, and it hangs at 124C

OK.. an update.. left my 9850BE comp running at 3ghz for days and no hang. Played Crysis no problem. Even Encode movies no problem at all. The only problem is opening 3Dmarks06 opens at splash and disappears or if it can open, i ran benchmark, half way shuts.. I will be trying to change my 12cm fan to a faster and more efficient one but have no idea on which brand to get. Looking for maybe 2800 - 3000 RPM.

I will be trying to change my 12cm fan to a faster and more efficient one but have no idea on which brand to get. Looking for maybe 2800 - 3000 RPM. dude, u've run orthos already ar??anybody got that occt stress installer..?? can give any link to it?? |
