why would u need a midi for your laptop when u can do it all using a software..
*
Bro,its a midi controller..it produce general midi and converted into sounds module or VST u want to use

yes..mouse can do..but the VST wont be able to be controlled by mouse..it cant produce MIDI
mouse cant do the pitch bends and the sustains needs

the feel it self plays a major things..how do u want to produce a chord or harmonics thinggy if those mouse just have only 2 or 3 clickable button?how about those octave u want to use

yes a VST need to buy but there are a lot of free cool VST or pluggins too
choose if it fits your needs

keystation? I have the 49e. It's really simple with no weighted keys or fancy fancy dials or LCD colour displays. But it does the job and costs about RM200 brand new. USB 2.0 interface with no noticable latency at all. No need for MIDI cables and converters. A decent buy if you'd ask me.

Where did you get the 49e for rm200?? in malaysia?? which shop??

For problem free... Go for m-audio keystation 41 or 61.... I think it's called key-rig now... For that model, you just have to plug in a usb.. and use...! .. It's a very good one... I been using it for years..

depends on how you want to capture the normal keyboard. they are midi in/out, theres USB, or theres the direct DI box way into your system (M-box i presume).

not sure about USB midi, i pakai m-audio with protools m-powered, and use the midi cable. cause my keybaord is old, there's no usb connection. however i think any midi connection will do cause protools also accept virtual midi routings so should be no problem.

midi in protools is a bit of headache, but it get the job done nonetheless.

How much does the cheapest M-audio controllers with 61 keys cost? Preferably the keystation or the axiom... Always wanted to get one since MIDI sequencing using a mouse is such a pain in d arse..
