I am here to tell the story of the cancellation..
after many effort by the committee to do everything and to respect our fellow "Malay"sians - no offense..
the Head of STAD( Zamzuri) called the president of APC on Friday night asking her to meet up with him due to "many" complains regarding the dog fashion show..
The president called me and a few committees to attend the meeting that very night. at about 9pm we met up with zamzuri and he said that "staffs" are complaining about the event and scare that poo will be everywhere in campus. we assured him that we set a place for dogs to poo and that dogs dun poo anytime they like.. but he was very rude and defensive. he said that if anything goes wrong he would stop the event half way.

the conclusion of the meeting was :-
- all dogs must be in a cage at all times.
- those who doesn't bring their dog in a cage shall not be allowed to enter MMU.
- there must be a mat/plastic/whatever on the ground below the 4 tents at all time.
- there will be 2 staffs being located at the event to monitor.
- the staffs would stop the event half way if they feel something was wrong.

we agreed to the conditions so that the event would go on although it was not the same as what we planned.

the next day morning, which was saturday, zamzuri called the president at 7.30am asking her to shift to the Dahlia field which the carpark is still being build. they have no electric there. so in the end the president decided to cancel the event due to all this hardship that they have put up with.

this is not 100% of the story but about 80% of it. it was a pain for the committees of APC for organizing it and in the end being targeted like that. they had to sacrifice their time and studies to organize it just for every1. I would say that most of them are fedup with organizing events due to what happen and organizing events where there is not much participation is a very disappointing and sad thing.

this matter has been brought up to the student representative council and Proff Omar( some guy very high up to complain to) but the response from SRC President = "can you please don't make this a big matter". proff omar has agreed to refund us the money that we had lost.

this is the mind set of MMU and STAD. I got the feeling that the complains come from a club and not staffs. the club name starts with a "U". i am not sure but that is what my and some of my friend's gut feeling tell us.

I am sorry if we/I have offended anyone with this event. i am also sorry if i have spoken something here to hurt your feelings. I just want to make things clear that we may be at some fault but not all fault should be blamed to us.

APC MMU might be dying due to the lack of support of club and society in MMU and due to the lack of committees in the future. All i can say is i would try my best to keep it alive but I alone can get things done. enjoy while we still can.

yes it is elephant poo.. haha.. and its not a monkey.. its an orang utan <-- not many have chance to touch in their life!

if you guys are interested next year i was thinking of doing a big pet exhibition in DP to prove to them we can do it.. but i am totally not experienced in it.. and next year will be my final year.. next sem i will go for my training some more..

actually in STAD got quite a few ppl support us.. Mr Syukor is actually very supportive.. he helped me a lot when we just started the club.. he even came for our 1st AGM where there were all kind of animals..

about events.. we did SPCA trip and treasure hunt in zoo melaka last year.. we also helped WWF to collect signatures.. we couldn't do much cos new club..
this year 1st sem we organize a trip to aquaria and KL bird park.. than this sem suppose to be our fashion show.. next sem = uncertain.. we cant do a lot of activities cos ideas and activity is a little limited.. help is much appreciated..

i have totally lost my confidence with SRC.. although lots of my friends are in there.. i rather go watch movie with friends than go there.. waste of time.. they wont understand and they will always side stad.. specially the president..
