even king kong hamsters dun look healthy... if wanna look for healthy rodents, da shop in bukit baru seems ok.... NSEW ones also ok but very limited choices.... others are so so only...

the only shop i dun recommend to get hamsters from is king kong... da cage damn dirty and soggy.... hamsters like half dead....

rear any pets must have responsibility... we not look down on any one... we jz afraid u'll give up on da animal when u get bored or cannot stand with it... no matter how cheap or expensive a pet is, it is still a living creature... it deserves rights to stay alive... if u dont have the commitment, dont try...

Old DaI.. I am giving u constructive advise n i have not use any harsh terms.. if u feel that i am than i am sorry..
but if its ur 1st time keeping a pet i dun think SG is suitable for u.. yes u may sound confident now but it really is not easy.. try something easier 1st.. than if u think that u have no problem handling that pet than get only get the suggie..
dun u feel its a safer way like this? n u say u dun have lot of cash flow.. suggies are really a lot more expensive compared to some other pets..
if u think u still want to go on with it than be my guest.. i have done my part in giving advises.. the decision is still urs..
if u need help with checking if the suggie ur getting is healthy or not i can accompany u.. just set a time with me..

seriously... very true lor... not as mah fan as rear fish.... its been 3 days i didnt feed my hamster (coz food bowl still got food)... water bottle can tahan 1 week without refil... cage i also didnt clean for 1 month adi... lolz....

cannot cannot... must clean cage adi... my hamster eyes got infection... vr watery like keep crying... sweat.gif

intro my betta inside my planted tank jz now... at first he keep hiding in da bushes... now he start venturing around the tank adi.... hopefully he can get used to his fast n furious tankmates.....

40x25x25cm only.... can do extra small la... water parameter not very stable lor.... even mine not considered stable... if got any dead plants or fish floating around must remove immediately... too much rotting plants inside can cause ammonia spike... over feed ur fish also can cause ammonia spike... insufficient co2 might cause algae bloom... etc... very sensitive lar small tank... bigger tank more stable....

how small u planning for??... of coz there are low tech and high tech settings... if small tank wif a few guppies, can opt for low tech... if permissible, water filter is a must... use HOB filter instead of internal filter... substrate if possible get ADA aquasoil... if dont have or limited budget, start wif holland sand also can (but less fert inside)... co2 is not needed if u opt for low tech... air pump is not needed since u got water filter running... as for lights wpg, some sifoo said nano tank doesnt follow the wpg rule... not very sure but as for mine i'm using 24w lighting... 3x8w T4 florescent bulb....

if ur tank is really small like mine in da bottom, no need water filter... else ur guppies will be busy fighting against water current will soon die of exhaustion.... dead tank (no water filter, no air pump) only applicable for surface dwellers which they can take air directly from water surface, for example betta.... not sure about guppies though... without water filter, u must be hardworking to change the water more often... this one i change water twice a week...
