Five month ago, Eric Chong suffer from serious tumor on his right arm, his and family to have no choice but to remove his right arm to prevent it spread. GH:Hi, Eric Chong. Can you introduce yourself a bit.
EC:Hi, my name is Eric Chong, Gamertag is Breakthru7 and I'm staying at Sabah.
GH:Sorry about the incident you going through. Can you tell us more about it.
EC:It's actually because of a kind of tumor which had been inside in my right arm around the elbow for some time. By the time we (Eric and his family) notice it already extent very near the vital part of the my right arm.
GH:How long since you start playing console game?
EC:Started gaming ah ? ok I started since 5-6 years old, with the NES.
GH:So you start with NES. what other console you own before?
EC: 3DO , Playstation one, Playstation 2 and currently Xbox360.
GH:So you been gaming for quiet some times huh?. And how are you find yourself in console gaming?
EC: Gaming certainly improves my hand eye coordination. It is my platform for enjoyment and to release stress. Plus,with the involvement in Xbox360 LIVE feature, I'm being introduced to a great community. knowing some gaming virtual friends, and most of all, some of them become my best real life friends today.
GH:After the operation how you actually play games? I mean did you modify your controller to make gaming easy?
EC:No, I did not. The 360 controller is like a gift to me, I've never thought of it, but after several tries. It's actually possible. my thumb will be positioned on the right analog and pinky finger for the left analog and left trigger. For the buttons, I'll have to move my thumb away from the analog stick to reach them.
THAT'S HOW HE CONTROL.
GH:That was amazing. How you actually find out it's possible to control a controller by using one hand?
EC:After knowing my arm need to be removed, I've given up pretty much all hope on gaming. Thanks to the consistent encouragement from one of my best friend Ngooi Ke Roong a.k.a Gamertag Syujisy. I start train myself with the game pad and playing some online game with some others games. Now, I can join back in having gaming session with them again.
GH:It's such a encouragement, to see someone like you recovery so quickly and positive thinking for what you have gone through. And still have very strong passion on gaming. Can you give a few words to local gaming community?
EC:The best is don't give up, no matter how big the obstacle is. The old saying always work, "where there's a will, there will always be a way". Gaming is a very interesting yet awesome hobby, no matter you're good in it or just couldn't cope along, try to enjoy it in every way and not spoiling the fun. Also big thanks to my best friends in Live like Syuji, Firearm, Mave and Jaylike... Lets play all the way.!!

If wasn't for the interview by GH, i didn't even know you are the "unlucky" one eventhough we play alot of Halo 3 together.
Anyhow, you prove that nothing can stop your passion for gaming, not even the tumor. Now Malaysia has 1 Master Chief (MasterKoston, RIP) & 1 Mister Chief (Breakthru).
