QUOTE(tayhaithian @ Jun 20 2008, 01:03 PM) okay ... here comes a good news for you guys . My friend saw the 3G iPhone price on Magazine which is starting from RM 1.9k !!! It's not always accurate, heck even The Star published some articles about the iPhone and state the price $199 (RM609) and this line may confuse alot of people thinking it's cheap. hehe . in this way i guess , iPhone price will drop till 1200~1500 |

Enough with this typical 'kiasu' blogger, had enough of her... sigh.
Anyways, iTunes 7.7 will support iPhone and iPod touch as a wireless remote to control media playbacks, the app will be available free from the App Store. Source by TUAW |

QUOTE(ben_ang @ Jun 27 2008, 05:54 PM) i wonder how d 3G will work in MY? since it should be other country's maps, where 2 find malaysia maps? since there is no free maps... 3G spectrum is available in Malaysia by Maxis, Celcom and soon DiGi. I think you're talking about the GPS, well Google Maps has the support for all countries so you don't need to worry about not having location maps on your phone just like other Nokia phones.Added on June 27, 2008, 6:06 pm3G works like an internet connection, for your mobile phone so you get faster data transfer unlike EDGE or GPRS. QUOTE(Vor @ Jul 1 2008, 01:35 PM) 3G iPhone is overated & overhype. Those big companies are really smart in taking advantage of the situation & market to sell it to idiots who either thinks: You can't blame others who like the phone, don't like iPhone just look at other choices that Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung or ten more mobile phone brands have to offer.i) 3G is for video calling ii) its 3G!!! iii) its $199 Lol, I bet the next time its gonna be |

QUOTE(Vor @ Jul 1 2008, 05:02 PM) Lol dude, I think you misunderstood me, I myself am an iPhone user but the fact that seeing how those retards acting all over the world (infact just take a look at the forum under the garage sale) as if the iPhone was only launched the 1st time is really pathetic. I mean c'mon, an added 3G chip + GPS function isn't worth the hype at all. My mistake then, sorry pal. All I see in Garage Sales on iPhone 3G sales threads are just a bunch of rich fellas with no-brainer and thinks highly on owning the iPhone is just the name and the company brand. They think that it's iPhone, it's so great and bla bla so they have to own it. I think most of them doesn't even know about the truth behind the $199 price tag and also the new rules on unlocking phones by telcos. This time it ain't the same like it would on the first generation iPhone. Sometimes money really can't buy anything you would want to. |

Let's just forget iPhone 3G for a while... updates:
-iTunes 7.7 is out (supports App Store) -App Store is not officially launch but you can view it on iTunes and some apps download is successful -.Mac is gone and MobileMe is up and running and suprisingly Apple TV gets a firmware update in order to go with MobileMe -Firmware 2.0 was leaked but the built is 5A347 instead of the 5A345 which includes in iPhone 3G shipping units. QUOTE(d3vilzzzz @ Jul 11 2008, 04:11 PM) Sources claimed that this time Apple has enough stocks for every telco, retailer, and stores. I strongly feel that it's true. Right before it was announced, the stocks had already leaving factories and begin shipping. |

I find at each side of iPhone (beside the 3.5 inch screen) has some space thus make the iPhone looks fatter from the front look.

QUOTE(mangoman @ Jul 11 2008, 10:31 PM) First batch here means early bird iPhone 3G units to be finish and the stocks be replenish. Sometimes first batch units have problem, just like previous first batch iPod touch that has display problems so Apple fixed it with better quality screen on second batch units. That kind of thing, not 12 months. |

The whole idea of activating the phone in stores at the point of purchase has proved to be a bad idea, lots of stores having server down and Apple's server is overloaded. Some customers have been told to go home with the phone unactivated. Looks like we need to hold off firmware 2.0 for a couple of days more.

QUOTE(visualfoley @ Jul 15 2008, 08:43 PM) wey im still confuse a.. the contract at&t..$199 only.. why dont u just buy the contract one.. then unlocked by urself? cant a? The reason why people buy no-contract iPhones are because not all countries have iPhone like Malaysia, therefore people need to unlock it in order to use the network in the country. Pay $199 and pay monthly bill for 24 months only applied for those living in and using the network in the country itself. If you buy one, the phone is unlock to the network in the country. For example buy from AT&T store and the phone will be locked to AT&T network. This post has been edited by Mike3300: Jul 15 2008, 08:52 PM |
