ya, most people just look at the $199 price and don't know the real fact that a 2 year contract must be done before buying the iphone. AT&T will offer $200 subsidy for iPhone 3G, which will now sell for $199 (8GB). This means that the normal price of the iPhone 3G is $399.

that is the real price without contract lor....sure expensive. But better wait for Singapore or Hong kong prices. It should be cheaper.

Sigh, most people just saw the picture of Steve Job showing Iphone 3G selling for $199, they didn't know about the T&C.

I only know this is for USA...dont know about Singapore. Malaysia sure not, because Iphone is not even coming here.

i also bought my 1st gen Iphone from Singapore. It is already Jailbreak/hacked. So u must just hope u can find jailbreak 3G iphone there.

my sister is at LA......but i thought all Iphone 3G cant leave store without At&T contract? also how much if just buying the Iphone 3G in LA?

my sis got a HTC diamond...i play tested it. Not bad at all, got a good camera, wifi,3G, memory slot, etc. Overall pretty good PDA , an alternative to Iphone 3G.
