The first pic is my tortoise up close.
the second one is it's home. the purplish light is the UV light to keep it warm.
i think its female. the bottom of the shell is bumpy. doesn't have a concave shape in.
the male died earlier in january this year. it's eye had an infection. like some yellow resedue.
and it died. was so damn sad. anyway, tell me anything that i'm missing out on taking care of it.
i feed it leaves in the aquarium. it's planted by my grandma so it's free of pesticide and other chemicals.
i give it some water some of the time. i'm afraid too much moisture is not good for it.
i sometimes change its died to carrots or cucumbers. i do take it fo sun bathes around 4-5 times a week.
it's nose currently has some water coming out. i saw a thread and someone said it is cause of lack of sun?
i left it out in the sun fo 45 minutes, it got sun burned i think. its tip of the nose had a white layer of thingy and the tortoise was like exhausted and dry. so i don't sun bathe it that often anymore. =\
PLEASE GIVE ME SOME POINTERS ON MY TORTOISE! I LOVE IT VERY MUCH AND WANNA TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!
If u have a very important tip for me, please add me in msn kenneth.ooi@hotmail.com and tell me immediately.
Worse comes to worse, i might need your number standby incase of any emergency. Thanks. =D

Water coming out of nose maybe due to RNS infection best healed by anti-biotic treatment !!

45 minutes in the sun , any shade provided to hide in case it get too hot ?? But from your above statement - " it got sun burned i think. its tip of the nose had a white layer of thingy and the tortoise was like exhausted and dry " I think NO And when does this basking takes place - time frame ??
I am thinking your bask in the sun has done more harm ( no return , if internal organ heated to a point of damage !!! )

All the best !!!

like what that have been mentioned, you should provide shade and probably water for it to replenish supply of water after they have taken a walk in the sun..although they are land torts, they should get enuff supply of water too especially after sun basking..and you should bask them earlier in the morning where the sun's vitamin is good and its not that hot.. further information have already been discussed in the TTT v1,v2 n v3..heh.. welcome you to the discussion thread 1st..

For food, lettuce seem to be the best choice around plus other high fiber greens but pls pls check at the TTT thread 1st.

Depends on which type of Lettuce used , some are the worst or has food value next to nothing when fed !! Iceberg for example !!
