I bought the Sony DSC-W300 with Sony 8GB MSPD and Capdase ixTAKU screen protector for HK$3,190 here in Hong Kong which about RM1,330. It also come along with a small tripod, Parco pouch and ball keychain. Well, those are just gifts which for sure we'll get better one

Initially I opted to get a DSLR straight away. However after some consideration, I opted to get a compact PnS first before a DSLR. Least a compact one will allow me to carry around easily and tagging along with me when I'm at work so I can snap photos around Hong Kong

DSLR will be after I back to Malaysia end of the year

Stop those Sony VS Canon VS Nikon war thingy... it isn't suppose to be here and also not suppose to be at anywhere. We can do comparison, but not trying to condemn one another. After all, everyone share the same passion for photography, but isn't for any unnecessary.

Picking Sony doesn't mean can't get serious or good in DSLR.

lens can get minolta lens ma, sony new lens also getting sharper. If got the cash to spare can get carl zeiss lens. take sony as a starter first. With liveview so my girlfriend can use also.

bro ianho also got sony a200 ma, but he upgade to 40D already.
yeah, that 1 is the kit lens 18-70mm

low end canon dslr feel su** to hold.

i tried that sony before, it gave me very solid feel.
