Any chance the current gen iPhones will have A2DP support? I'm thinking to get a stereo headset but i'll need a separate bluetooth dongle. And even so, i don't get to use the headset fully - eg: fwd, backward button on the headset.

Anyone here use a bluetooth stereo headset with the iPhone?

I just wonder if any of the unlock service providers ever donated to the original author.

I got a tiny problem here. weDict 0.9 is working perfectly on one of my iPhones. The other was ok except that it crashes whenever i press the 'i' (Settings) button located at the bottom of the screen. Anyone have had this problem before?

EDIT: I also have this funny problem where my Summerboard doesn't change ANY settings at all. By 'any' i mean the themes wouldn't change, the hide icon label wouldn't change, etc. Whenever i try changing to a theme, the Springboard restarted and nothing changed. When i start Summerboard again, the default theme is checked instead of the one i've selected previously. Any help?

Note: The summerboard has been activated. Couldn't find a suitable patch for it.

I got two iPhones. One i got way back in March and another only recently. I noticed that the one i got later (in May) has got higher volume than the older one. Both are on 1.1.4 with the Volume Patch applied. Now i am wondering why.

Could it be the later batch have got better speakers? But so far i've never heard such a claim.

There is also threads from other forums that say that it could be dust built up around the speakers and it could be *fixed* by poking needle thru the holes... which i am not too keen to do.

Any idea?

same here.
my old one's speaker isnt too loud to be heard.
my new one's speaker is kinda loud, just dont know why
and its even loud after i poked the 6-7 holes on the speaker.
*
Ok i poked thru ALL the holes (the speaker side only of course) and it DID improve like a hell lot. Now it sounds just like the new one.

p/s: Ah yeah, there was a lot of dust.

Any Customize 2.0 users here? Does the new Customize requires an internet connection to use? Mine seem to be crashing everytime if i don't have a Wifi or Edge connectivity.

yaw yaww yawww, does anyone done the iphone speaker poke?

how the out come? smile.gif

I did. I didn't realize my speaker volume has gone so soft until i tried comparing with a new iPhone. Both the phones have the same patch applied. I went ahead and did the silly hole-poking trick and to my surprise...voila, it works!

I used a needle. In some holes, it even went 3/4 of the needle length. While in some others, it just couldn't go thru no matter how hard I tried.

that is because you are poking up the wall of the "speakers" and also the frame of the filter.. ... plz don't try too hard or u might break something ..
*
When i said "no matter how hard" it wasn't too hard at all. I don't wanna ruin the phone.

guys, i was playing with my iphone, uninstalling those unwanted applications. i dunno what i did, heres the problem

- when u exit from installer after u uninstall something, it will give u a vibrate (which all these while dun have, it just restart summerboard)

- all my customize ringtones are gone. even those contact ringtones are gone. where has all my cutted ringtone gone to?

by the way, i did play with instaFresh, but what is it exactly, is this causing the problem?

- SMSD is not working, it will return to summerboard right after u click on it.
*
Regarding the vibration thingy. I noticed this happens only after the latest Installer.app update. I don't think anything is wrong...well, since everything is still working perfectly fine. And like you've mentioned, the Springboard does not restart now (does not go back to the Unlock screen)...which i think is a good thing. Previously whenever the Springboard restarted, you'll lose the record of your Usage time. Now, the record stays intact.

ermm i wonder how do you guys cope with this matter. to avoid "mou la la" being charged unsure.gif

Hey panasonic88 tongue.gif

I've posted this previously but maybe maybe i shall suggest this again since you ask. What i do is, i only apply the correct EDGE settings when i need to use it. For example, the APN for Maxis is suppose to be 'unet'. I set it to 'une'. And only apply the correct settings (unet) when i need to use it. May seem troublesome to some, but i think it is really easy for me. By doing this i can completely eliminate the possibility of what you called as "mou la la" charges.

Hey all,

I've recently converted my Maxis prepaid to post paid and with it, i got a new SIM card. I've activated the 3G using *136#. I've also applied the correct EDGE settings. But the EDGE doesn't seem to be working. Now, i don't think it is the SIM card problem because my old Hotlink card is also 3G capable. What could be it?

The GPS will be using the Google map we're using now, eh? Hmm, I really wanna know how much the speaker for music has improved. Apparently the call quality has improved by leaps and bounds!

@lohchlcm

I've about this some time ago. Apparently it is because there is dirt/debris in the audiojack. Here, you can find the solution.

Yes, it is usually caused by the dirt in the audio jack. Glad that it works already smile.gif

WinPwn pre-install a lot of packages in Cydia. I don't quite like it. Are they necessary?

Hey all,

I've just setup my Gmail to push new incoming mail to my iPhone. It works fine but I was expecting an SMS-like kinda notification (pop up) when there is a new mail (i thought it is suppose to be like that?). Right now, there isn't. I'm only getting a counter by the Email icon (like how it is with To-Do list). Am i missing something?

There's no such thing as email notification popping up on your screen mate..

It works by showing a counter on your mail icon smile.gif

Ah ok, then i must have seen wrongly before this smile.gif Thanks for the clarification.
