QUOTE(Mike3300 @ May 7 2008, 06:14 PM) What a question, maybe you don't know how iPod or iPhone works and that's why Apple is really encouraging their users to just put their Macs or iPods to sleep. In this case, iPhone or iPod touch needs to boot up the OS so it might decrease the battery usage even lower cause it use full CPU power when booting up the phone's OS. What's really stack up, the apps that we run and close with just 1 second on the Home button, might accumulate the memory and might cause our phone to maybe restart by itself just like what fuiyo said due to excessive memory consumption. For me,after install a huge number of application,I do restart my phone else i seldom turn off my phone. It might a good practise restarting phone to free some memory i guess ..This phone is different than others so all I'm asking is it a safe practise to turn off completely and turn back on again rather than just turn off the radio by Airplane mode and to sleep, it's not good to turn on phone's radio all the time. QUOTE(nkymark @ May 8 2008, 07:58 AM) Yupp .. Refreshing sources is much faster now. You can't feel it?Hi guys.. how to use Call Data?? I saw it in my Installer, after choose Malaysia CallData, it's nothing change. |

A very very very nice features update by SwirlyMMS v1.0
SwirlyMMS v1.0 release brings you the following features: * An easy-to-use user-interface, inspired by the mail application, which allows you to navigate through your received and sent multimedia messages. * Ability to send and receive: images, text, audio, video. In fact, you can send and receive any file you like! * You will be able to send and receive messages containing multiple multimedia parts. For example you can send an image together with a long text in the same message. * A built-in media viewer is provided so that you can easily view your messages from within SwirlyMMS. * You can easily reply to the sender, or forward the message. * You will be able to select multiple recipients. * You can save an multimedia message part to a file of your choice. * You can save an image to your camera roll (/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/100APPLE) and view it with the Photo application. * To send a photo, you will be able to select it, not only from your camera roll but also from your synched photo library or use the built-in file browser to pick any file. * Also, you will be able to take a photo with the camera from within SwirlyMMS and send it right away. * When composing a multimedia message with several parts, you can easily rearrange and remove any part. * To help you configure the application with the MMS settings, we have developed a package which handles settings delivered over-the-air! Source But very very very disappointed is not free, 8USD. Planning to buy? |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Sep 1 2008, 04:20 PM) Yes, it needs some sort of connection. The connection is needed to render the background maps, otherwise you have nothing to refer to. Also, Wifi gives only the most general of location, and may not be accurate at all, EDGE improves on that, 3G is the best. Pinpoint location is provided by GPS, and a network connection of any kind is needed to download the background map. If let say the map had been downloaded in early.. it still need a connection? |
