QUOTE(gidlcin @ May 7 2008, 05:12 PM) What a question, maybe you don't know how iPod or iPhone works and that's why Apple is really encouraging their users to just put their Macs or iPods to sleep. In this case, iPhone or iPod touch needs to boot up the OS so it might decrease the battery usage even lower cause it use full CPU power when booting up the phone's OS. What's really stack up, the apps that we run and close with just 1 second on the Home button, might accumulate the memory and might cause our phone to maybe restart by itself just like what fuiyo said due to excessive memory consumption. This phone is different than others so all I'm asking is it a safe practise to turn off completely and turn back on again rather than just turn off the radio by Airplane mode and to sleep, it's not good to turn on phone's radio all the time. QUOTE(fuiyo @ May 7 2008, 11:14 PM) RagingThunder lags & hangs when there are continuous incoming calls or msgs. Just press Sleep/Wake and Home button until it boots, works for me. That game is great but alot of bugs. After that you cant even force quit or reset your phone. You need to wait until it reboots itself >.< ------- The update for installer is fine =) |

There's a new app on Installer under Utilities I guess, called biteSMS and the description mentioning send normal SMS but in a cheaper price. Sounds fishy huh? Anyone tried?

Well just like Skype for SMS, buy credits and send in a cheaper cost at just 10 cents per message.

QUOTE(iwkf @ May 17 2008, 09:10 PM) There's a small grill that protects the speaker from dust, so poke some hole to let the sound come out more. Btw, whenever I receive a call, sometimes I have Slide to answer and sometimes I get Decline and Answer button. I thought that was in the earlier firmware like 1.0.1 and 1.1.1. Is this consider a bug? This post has been edited by Mike3300: May 17 2008, 09:26 PM |

c_calvin, thanks for the tip. Some of you might be familiar with the iPhone TV Ads available for viewing in Apple.com, the ringtone is available in iLife '08. You can find it at:
QUOTE /Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/iLife Sound Effects/Work - Home/Cell Phone Ringing.aif Then use GarageBand to change the format and click send to iTunes as Ringtone. More info here: http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/mac-a...easy-25858.html You can notice that the ringtone is quite loud than the other pre-installed tones. Why didn't Apple include this ringtone? |

I was just wondering, one bubble chat text equals to one sms right? In firmware 1.1.4, it can save 5000 sms.

Everytime I connect my iPhone to my computer, it'll start charging. When I launch iTunes, my iTunes will hang and my phone will disconnect and stop charging. Anyone having the same problem?

QUOTE(olly @ Jun 4 2008, 05:14 PM) Settings>General>AboutBtw, iPhone is not so smart, let say we send a text or call a number for example: 012-123 4567. When the number replied back, it will show +6012 123 4567 so if we save our contacts without +6 code, it'll display numbers instead of names. Added on June 4, 2008, 5:39 pmNon smartphones can handle that just fine. This post has been edited by Mike3300: Jun 4 2008, 05:39 PM |

No problem, by the way is anyone here send a multi recipient text message before? I've send to contact A & B, but when either one replies back... it's not in the Outgoing text window instead it just create a new window of text message.

Was doing some research on the Infineon PMB8876 processor in the first-gen iPhone, interestingly it supports A-GPS, FM Radio, WLAN and some other cool stuff. It has the power but Apple is not granting clemency to the developing.

I think that's the earliest firmware version, 1.0.1. The reason they abolish the feature is because the picture is too small for some people to see so they just put it full view.
