this is a common prob in iphone after unlocking.... get iLiberty+...the inside there is one payload called DevTeam Grey Wifi Fix.....install that and u can try ur wifi again...after i unlock my iphone lasttime also liddat after installing that no more problem....gud luck..
From your statement seems like u r so sure it's because of the unlocking method used. Well to tell u the truth ... its not from that and your suggestion for them to use the Dev Team Grey WiFi Fix may cause more harm than solving it. Its been warned that only use the WiFi fix if your phone's WiFi is GREYED as in you can't even go in the WiFi setting to turn it on/off ... what more to say selecting the WiFi Access Point.Sometimes it may look like your connected to the Access Point but cant surf the net. Check if u have been allocated with IP Address, Subnet Mask and Router. If u don't have these 3 then u don't have access to the net. When iPhone can't access to the net thru WiFi then it look for the 2nd option which is EDGE. Thats why u got the error message in safari saying EDGE is not available. This thing usually happen with public WiFi, it seems like you are connected but infact u r not.
Like Imzadi said ... u can try and reset the network setting and reboot the phone. No need to reset everything.

Did u reboot the phone after u reset the network setting? When u switch on WiFi and select your home wireless router ... did u check if u have the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Router? One more thing ... is your router set to use WEP coz from what i hear, iPhone/Apple product can't use WEP.
