Check out Garage Sales and you might find good bargains. Otherwise, head down to Beat Spot in Megamall or The Curve and check out some of the Yamahas. They are quite good indeed.

I've visited the Beat Spot in MidValley. But the worker of the shop seemed doesnt even know how to differentiate an acoustic or classical guitar Btw...what is the difference between folk's guitar and an acoustic?

QUOTE(Cello @ Apr 19 2008, 10:43 PM) Come to my shop.

I have a few good beginner acoustic guitar for sale. I provided classes as well.
Anyways, folk and acoustic guitar is pretty much is the same. Both guitars used the same system and same type of strings, just that the history behind is different. wow..so near! Hope you'll give me some special offers... I think i might be visiting your shop in the next weekend. This post has been edited by M@r0R!: Apr 19 2008, 10:47 PM

I'd suggest some place like Yamaha at The Curve or Midvalley, but I see you're going to go along to Cello's shop XD
If you want an expert opinion, you can go to Guitar Collection or Bentley.

QUOTE(bpwx @ May 7 2008, 10:10 PM) I'm only afraid that the the so called 'experts' there will try to cheat, trying to sell over-priced guitars...... they will try to sell over-priced guitars for sure. but most of the ppl working there are nowhere near experts, in fact they know jack shit. they're just there til the end of the month to get a paycheck.

Mostly..yeap.. especially those younger sales person. So far I think the guy working for Yamaha Beatspot Midvalley is a nice person and i can say he really knows his stuff la.
Today I went to GC Midvalley to test guitars also, the guy in charge also seems to be quite nice.
