Both of them are made in korea under the same owner(not brand...Mr.Histake Shibuya who owns both esp and schecter today)

Both of them have very similar specs(wood type) and body shape not to mention pricing..

I would like to know as to why you chose your answer cuz well, i've only tried the h-500 in guitar collection but have yet to test the hellraiser.

Well, the Schecter has a thick neck. So if you have small hands like me, it would be really hard to solo on. And judging by your choice of guitars, i assume your going to be playing metal, and that means you would be soloing quite a lot. Theres not much difference in the two, just the neck profile is the most telling.

i sold my iommi sg to everydying and that has an awesomely thick neck and super hard to play any protest the hero stuff on it(cuz i really want to)

I'm just worried bout the neck thickness to be honest if someone could enlighten me on that part that would be great.

And lamb of god rules 11th hour is my fav song of theirs

Although I have not play either one, I will have to vote for the ESP, the Schecter seems a bit too flashy. How much is the H500 selling in GC?

What kind of EMGs are we talking about? Actives? Passives? Or Designed by EMG ones?
I haven't tried the Schecters, but I tried some of the EMG-ESP pickups and they really had no depth..... it was on an M series guitar too.
But I really like the M series guitar. the M-1000 I played with. Oh god, it was amazing.... Very nice action, super shreddable, and a decent weight to it.
The 500 is really good as well...... I think it's equally as good.

gc wont bring in the m 1000/1001 .their just ification is that it's middle end and if they want something more they might as well bring in the esp.I'm talking bout active emg's and it will cost me 4399 without the hardcase.

Hmmmmmm..... if it's for metal.... it's cool.

But if you want something more diverse, I would suggest the Ibanez S 5470 Prestige instead....
Same price range....

i find the iommi neck easy to play...actually a pretty avg thickness.
i've played much thicker necks...one of my SG's neck is also thicker.

noxxing : After looking at both the guitars... It's really up to you which look do you prefer..

I personally like the flamed maple look of the H-500. I never did liked the Hellraiser's whatever gothic-cross inlay. I personally will get bored of it after awhile lah.. Haha

Good luck.

Haha, i love the inlays on the Hellraiser. Non-conventional is fresh IMO. And TS, if you're going ESP, send a PM to Dead Eye, he gives really good prices. If the Hellraiser is the one you want, PM opfish.

And yeah LOG rules. But i think i need to change my avatar, got back into my Megadeth craze again. tongue.gif

I agree The inlay's give it personality but i can do with anything as long as i have markers on the fretboard.Unlike the gibson gothic series where there's a crest moon only on the 12th fret. That was a lil f'kin stupid.

Megadeath?...i'm not that old school man.my initial years were lame nu-metal like the slipknot, mr durst of limpy biskut, korn(they suck now..really suck...)

I'm waiting for dead eye to get back to me cuz gc told me it's basically 4399 without the hardcase(600 friggin buxx just to put it on a plane..and i have to wait 3 weeks for that tooo).

The hellraiser from opfish is about RM3800.So i'm kinda leaning towards the hellraiser.

Added on April 20, 2008, 11:34 amyo skindred!...that silent civillian band...isn't the frontman from the old spineshank band?I recognize that mofo anywhere.lol

Well at least he's in a better band now.
