full hd sure expensive...more than 6k...wif ur budget 4500..go for panny

I'm planning to get a Bravia soon. So the recommendation would be the V series instead of the S series?

I'm looking at HD ready instead of Full HD due to budget constraints

My budget is around 3k and any particular shops to recommend? around kl city/cheras area.

if u gonna use the tv as PC plug in most of the time, plasma tv is not suitable for u.

however, LCD tv 40" doesnt perform as good as plasma tv in term of astro signal and movie watching.

if u think that u seldom connect the pc into tv, u may consider for plasma tv.

i dont see a point that buy a 40" lcd tv to use as PC input and let go the quality of plasma tv on astro and dvd play.

tom, if u can sacrifice on astro, then go get a LCD

i believe the next model u are refering would be the 32LX800MK....i have been waiting for this model to be stocked...almost got mine from best denki klcc last week but went home empty handed because i was told they were out of stock and need to wait till 14 this month before the new stock from panasonic would be coming.

its inside panasonic website...u just need to click the viera TV link in the web site where it will bring u to another site. It will show their line up for this year. 

I still dun understand why ppl. still buy a 40inch Sony LCD...just compare it to a Panny 42incher....Panny color look more natural, blacks are blacker than an LCD. Reds also are natural looking...Sony wan way to red...and if tone down, looks washed out....or maybe its my eyes.

You can always manually tune picture and sound to personal comfort level. I've had so many TV's in my life and I'll always personalize those settings. There's no such thing as NATURAL color. TV is only an emulation and approximate. It can't be better than cinema FILM. Every DVD movie and TV channels have different display results and we can only but attempt to compromise somewhere in between.
BTW..the Panny default sound settings ARE CRAP!, even the BALANCE is not in center,  thats why I spent some time personalizing them.

Called the cc company, they said that they can't stop or reverse the transaction as it is between me and the seller. Fine. Looked up samsung website and filed a complaint online, got an auto email reply with ref number saying they'll look into it. Called senheng and got the asst mgr who said that he'll call back. Some time later, one of the salesboy called and started babbling that they had sent the wrong unit to me, got a mixup at the shop yadda yadda..I cut him off and said I wanted to speak with the mgr (who was out eating). Fine, tell him to call me back asap. Mgr called me afterwards and started the same babble that I got from the salesboy. I told him I wanted to cancel the purchase. He went on a abit after that, don't lah..we order new one oredi...give u free gift...yadda yadda. In the end, I said ok but I wanted a written confirmation by fax to my office that he will replace the display unit with a new unit. New unit arriving in 2 days so we'll see...

I got another question,  i ask around a few shop.... they shows me that PY80 (when we plug in our PC input) and set to 1024*768. It is showing a 4:3 format on screen, not 16:9....  HOW ABOUT PY800??? I FORGET to ask the shop fella... Will PY800 shows 16:9?  1 to 1 mapping??

He shows me Pioneer Kuro... HD ready Plasma but can support 1080p signal with no prob.... but the price... sigh..

Can pm me the address of yr shop? I think want to drop by next weekend to finalize my purchase. Btw can i bring my laptop to test the pc input for pv80 and py800? any huge difference in picture quality?

i am going to rub salt to the wound! multimedia pj = power point presentation and 15-30min p0rn clips!

i have put it before  pv vs py - PY 2x the native contrast of PV. 15K vs 30K. PY is also more than 25% "blacker"  than PV
