Put your Iphone into DFU mode and do another full restore then repeat the jailbreak process.

Recovery mode ? >_>
QUOTE(andynyau @ Apr 12 2008, 10:06 AM)
I had the similar problem on my iPhone, after change password using passwd, the Springboard gaves an infinite loop, and when I wanna try to reboot it. The phone is stucked on the appl boot screen.

What I did is boot the iPhone in restore mode, connect it to itunes and let it do the restore. Then using Ziphone to unlock and jailbreak it.

To enter restore mode on iPhone,

1. Hold the sleep/standby button on top + Home button to force it to shutdown
2. Keep holding the Home button and  release the sleep/standby after it shutdown
3. Press again the sleep/standby button to boot it and immediate release it when u saw the apple boot logo
4. At the point, u r require to still holding the home button, wait for around 10-15 secs, the iPhone will prompt u to connect it to itunes

please double and triple check your steps ... home button is pressed throughout the whole process until it goes into recovery.
the sleep/power button is pressed at certain sequence ...forcing it to shutdown and turning on the iphone again ..

timing is quite crucial also to sent the phone into recovery mode .

errr ... iPhone don't have hard reset like PDA. Its either u reboot, put in recovery or DFU. No hard or soft reset. Don't confuse people with PDA terms.

Added on April 20, 2008, 2:07 amRM50 for something u can do at home ... free sumore. Damn ... they really making money from something free.

Connect the phone to pc/laptop, press the home + sleep/wake button (on/off) untill the phone reboot (black screen). When u see the black screen ... count to 3 sec and release the sleep/wake button. Keep on pressing the home button until your pc/laptop see the phone in restore mode. Nothing will show on your iphone screen. Keep holding home button until itunes pops up. This is what we call DFU mode. Its a more deep state of restore. The normal restore mode is the one with the itunes + cable display on the phone. Hope that clear the air.

tips - to easily put the phone is RESTORE mode. Switch off the phone. Plug in or dock the phone with pc/laptop while u hold the home buttton. The phone will restart (apple logo) and the itunes + cable (restore mode) will appear. Then u release the home button.

To me the easiest way to restore is like this

a) Download Ziphone to your computer (from download.ziphone.org)
b) Start the ZIPhone GUI
c) Go to Advanced Features
d) Look at Change Phone Mode, Press DFU mode to put your iphone into DFU mode
e) Download the firmware you need. I use http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/32939 to download firmware 1.1.4
f) Start Itune. Hold Shift when pressing the "Restore" button.
g) Select the firmware you just downloaded.

that's it.
