I have just bought an HDCP LCD monitor to use with my PC and Xbox 360 Arcade. also bought myself an HDMI to DVI cable. setup works great and it displays picture properly...and then when i wanna connect my AV connector for sound, the AV connector is too fat and it blocks the HDMI port. anyone who is playing with a PC LCD ever encounter this problem before? how to plug both HDMI and AV connector at the same time?
searched the web and the only method others were using is to crack open the connector's plastic casing like this. i seriously don't wanna do that lol. any other ideas anyone?

try a 3rd party connector/adaptor. the shape of the dongle is more thin compared to the official MSFT "fat" dongle

Well, you could always get the official HDMI cable from Microsoft. It's basically just a normal HDMI cable and a separate audio cable that you plug through the standard A/V out port. Although, from reading the article, it's kinda obvious that the reason he cracked open the component AV casing was so he DIDN'T have to buy it. I had to buy the official Microsoft cable just so I can have the optical output. Dang, makes me wish I had read about the article earlier. I wouldn't mind cracking the cable casing, really...

how much did you pay for the the original cable man?

It's USD49.99. I asked someone to get it for me in the US. Over here, I'm not so sure how much it would cost. Though, I've never even seen one so far. The 360 Elite does come with the audio cable, but I doubt anyone would willingly sell it separate from the full package.

well u can get it from GH...Xbox 360 HDMI AV Cable + Optical/RCA Audio adapter..i think its around rm140
