Great, maybe we could meet up  rclxms.gif

On the your dashboard sound, Campro is known to have a resonance point around 2.5k to 3k . something is not tighten/installed properly , hence you hear the rattling sound.
*
What time you going? Yea, the sound sucks...i cant take it..i must got it fixed tommorow....

I am going early in the morning, 7.45 will reach there i think...

Anyway , i notice that i also have the "nyuk-nyuk" sound... wondering which part it come from?

Hi guys,

I am new here and decided to join the forum after observing it for some time and finding the members here pretty civilised and well mannered unlike some other forums!

Anyway I got my Waja CPS about 2 weeks ago [ Blue Agate, MT ] and I have just gone for my first service yesterday. To be honest, I am a bit disappointed with the power of the CPS engine. Maybe my expectation was too high or maybe the engine still hasn't fully run in yet but I find the performance lacking in the lower rpm range.

*
Welcome biggrin.gif Its common sense that mechanical throttle system will give you better faster response than drive-by-wire. I'm also using LMST 1.3 before (open pod, full exhaust) and the lower RPM is better. This maybe because its using a simpler carb system than a complex injection system resulting faster response and the gearbox ratio is shorter (2nd gear max at 85km/h when redline while CPS 2nd gear max out at 100km/h redline). Oh yeah, I think the main factor is LMST (in your case Iswara) is much lighter too. nod.gif

QUOTE(Low Rider @ Apr 25 2008, 05:27 PM)
From my experience with 2 previous Iswaras [ my first car was a 1.3 manual  ] this is the best way to break in engines. Some of you may disagree, but to each his own, I guess! My first Iswara 1.3 had a complete exhaust upgrade plus a K&N filter  [ sorry, I am a big K&N fan! ] and I could still outdrag a lot of Wajas and Wiras even after more than 300K mileage.

Anyway back to the CPS, as mentioned by some of the members here, I could feel a slight buzzing and vibration from the engine at the 2600-3000rpm range especially in 5th gear. I told the service centre about this and when I went to collect the vehicle, they have replied "normal for CPS engine" on the receipt!

There was also the 'nyuk' sound from the front wheel when turning over uneven road surface mentioned by others and after the service the sound is still there!

*
About the dragging matter, the most important thing is power to weight ratio of vehicles and gearbox ratio. Notice how car usually been out drag by those kapchai at traffic light laugh.gif

About the service/warranty claim, assuming you get your car from EON not Proton-Edar, I-Care service its not applicable. Otherwise just called I-Care and tell them whats your problem. Its a kinda centralized system where they will make the appointment for you and will call you up after the service is done. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(Low Rider @ Apr 25 2008, 05:27 PM)
I would be installing a K&N filter after this. Thereafter I am looking to get a complete R3 exhaust system plus the AFC meter and perhaps even the iridium spark plugs. This package should be able to release an additional 20-30 horses. Hopefully then the poor torque response at low rpm could be solved.

I would appreciate if any of you guys could give some tips on improving the engine performance besides what I have mentioned. Thanks and cheers!!!
*
I'm also upgrading to K&N. About the exhaust, I think better wait a while till R3 comes out with exhaust system specifically for CPS engine (the current one is for campro). About the AFC, better wait first because you will be voiding the warranty and don't know how much HP can be gain. But, I really doubt can get 20HP (15%) with these mod. sweat.gif

Just my 2cent. laugh.gif

wait bro, no need to rush. ive been thinking like u before, hate the new grill design very much with the oversized emblem, also planning on replacing that grill to old one if i get my waja (that time ler). but once i got the car ive start love the new design in less than a week. now i feel that the new grill look so much better for waja than the hidung design. the chrome grill for me give waja luxury look while the chrome tiger head add
"ferrari's horse  effect" summore.. haha.. perasan lebeh!! laugh.gif
Yeah i think you r right

I will try to be there by 8..., need to get it done ASAP, got a hectic schedule for the day.

Believe the sound to be from the front fender fitting, seems this problem has been present since the first Mitsu Waja till now. some minor "adjustment" will solve it.

Can we discuss here for the very important part, is security guide for our new waja, so that we can prevent from thefts. What security alarm and anti-theft system the best for our car to reduce the risk of being stolen especially in KL area?. I heard before that we can lo-jack our car so that we can know where is the car has been hiding. Is this lo-jack system is expensive to install one?, any tips?

Weird... mine is working fine. Can even find the correct station when the frequency change while going outstation. Let say I tune to Era (104.5 for johor) and when I arrive at KL, iyt automatically change to 103.3 thumbup.gif

Hi everyone, just came back from my first service.

From Centre Of Excellence
Cost : Rm 70++
Items: Engine Oil, Oil Filter + Gasket , Screen Wash.

One weird thing happened, the check engine lights came on while i driving home...It doesnt go off so i was thinking want to go back to check, but i stop the car , start again then it goes off.

Who is having this problem as well?

I am going on Mon/Tues for the dashboard sound and will tell them about this also.

Why they never change and flush Automatic Transmission Fluid for me? I thought most of the AT car owners they will change?
