Besides Sphiroth, who has got their shoes (tires) changed? I find the 60 series tires tend to provide good comfort but compromises too much on high speed cornering. I think the older 55 series were a perfect balance.

Do you think changing to 15inch sport rims would make enough of an aesthetic impact?

Standard is already 15" sport rim, why need to change to 15"?   

Go for 16" like me with 50 series tyre or better go for 17"    But then you need to lowered your ridr or add skirting, else it looks weird. Kinda hanging...
