firstly,im an ex kmpk student.from what i've learned during matric,it is no different than studying in school.we go to class.got exam.and d class is from 8 am to 4pm.only got 1 hour to rest.the only thing that differ is that we don't have to wear school uniform anymore.instead,we have to wear shirts and slacks for the guys and baju kurung or blouse for gals.the subjects that we learned has no big difference from the school subjects.just an extra indepth about the topics we learned.one more thing,in kmpk,we call our lecturers as teachers.i dunno bout other matric though.
secondly, for chinese, this is the time to get to know malay friends.this is one of the good point of matric.i see my chinese friends in kmpk always hang around with malay friends during the break.another thing is that ex-matric chinese are respected by ex form 6 chinese or ex diploma chinese in d university.this is because the ex-matric chinese are kinda like 'good breeds'.
thirdly, matric is only for those who want to pursue studies in medic or engineering at local universities.this is because when they got in the matric,75% of them only want to get cgpa 4.0 and go for all the so-called high standard studies.this is another example of our bad education system.the students only know study, study, and study and don't know how to socialize.most of my friends in d uni now said that they don't have much friends during matric days.i dont mean to be proud but i have friends during study, friends during lunch@dinner,friends during watching and playing football, and friends to hang out at shopping complex.
all i can say for the soon to be matric student is think hard before you go.my sister is going to matric as well but i told her if she gets other offer, better go for it.for me,my matric days are only filled with memories of great friends and watching football together.studies?naah..i wish my mom allow me to go to form 6..

ok i want to pursue engineering in 'better known' iptas (utm, ukm etc), so is going to matric a good choice?

do u mean that if i go to matric i wont study but socialise more instead?  unsure.gif

based on my experience, yea.as long as u get good grades.but still depend on what kind of engineering u want to take.electrical and electronic certainly needs cgpa 4.0.my friend who had cgpa 3.2 is now at ukm studying mechanical engineering.

what i mean is you need to study,at the same time,maintain@develop your social skills.another friend of mine who was active during matric days by playing squasy and organise event got cgpa 3.95 and now studying medic in usm.

oh i see. so i need to really get at least 3 & above to have a chance to take up the more demanded engineering majors is it? or how much in ur experience?

do u have any friends who got scholarship doing engineering overseas after they grad from matrics?
*
well..3 pointer is a must for majority of the courses i think.for ur second question, naah.from what i know,to go overseas need to study for pre-u.

QUOTE(shinseijiro90 @ Apr 21 2008, 08:27 PM)
erm you know how some scholarship like sime darby accept matric results , right... if you get chosen for the scholarship do you stret away start your degree or do you have to take a pre-u course again ??

juz curious...

especially since even bn accept matric results...
*
nope.start degree straight after matric.no need to take pre-u.and if u failed to get scholarship by using ur matric result,u can try to apply after 2nd sem in uni.

Wow!!! My first choice!!!
KMPP is the best i guess followed by KMM
But i get KMPk.. Perak..  sweat.gif
*
yea..in terms of the results.i dunno bout the place though.for kmpk, all i can say is the best in terms of places of interest.very near to ipoh.only 30 minutes. tongue.gif other matric such as kmm n kmph need to travel at least 45 minutes to reach the nearest city.
