Smallest of the 800 series range is the 805s bookshelf speakers. About RM10k per pair. Add another pair for the rear makes it RM20k. The HTM3S center is also about RM10k, if I'm not mistaken. So RM30k for the 5 speakers.

You can confirm that at Monsoon if you go there this weekend.

If you don't want to spend so much, the Dali Ikon 6 speaker package is also very good. That one should be able to get 5.1 for about RM15k. Can check them out in City Square.

No lah, just that of the more mass market brands, B&W is possibly the best. Those real high end type cannot even dream about so don't bother talking about them lah.

Yes, that half dead mall right under Crown Princess. They have one floor there that has many hifi shops. Can't remember the shop name but they sell Linn and Dali.

no doubt is like scary place ... but the shops inside selling the stuffs exclusively for expatriate ... I bought my painting there at Art Galley previously ... time for me to go there shopping again smile.gif

Personally, I would strike off Rogers and JBL from that list. Rogers used to be ok, but they've lost their plot already.

to me, no single brand sapu all wan. sure one brand got good, bad and ugly speakers. so in the end, its not which brand, it is which model we are talking about

i tested KEF sub-sat 3005, they wanted 9k!
sound like crap only
