to all the WoW sifus here, I am a noob pally who wanted to PVP as a retribution pally for a change. I am wondering is there any difference between the 3 gladiator weapons Gladiator Axe , Gladiator Mace, and Gladiator Swordif used with Seal of Command. Any changes in the proc chance of the skill or any benefits from using different type of weapons?

Any changes in the proc chance of the skill or any benefits from using different type of weapons? Sword or Mace. Only difference between the 3 is the is that mace/sword give 32 str and axe gives 64 ap instead. So if you are running a BoK spec you'd want the raw str. Also take into consideration the race of your paladin and any extra bonus (eg expertise) that your race has when wielding one of the weapon types (cba to find out what exactly - i haven't played WoW for over a year, im just speculating, i could be wrong)

well I am a human pally and yes I took the BoK spec. Yup humans have a +5 expertise to swords and maces anyway. But is there any difference in the procs for Seal of command or they are the same as long as the swing timer remains the same?

And to answer your question, I think Stormherald would be best. Seems to be a favorite amongst many ret palies

Wow need to drop either one of my profession then if that is the case, was thinking of getting the PVP Gladiator weapons to avoid that though. But thanks for the advice everyone.

The problem is blacksmithing is an ass to level.
Ore prices go sky high with due to stupid jewelcrafters and mining nodes are little considering how "big" is outland.

Badge axe is more of a PVE weapon for Blood Elf Pallies due to speed and Seal of Blood.
Lack of Sta for PVP.

Why dont you go do some research on what doe the enchants really do for you as a ret pally rather than just asking here?
E.g. say I tell you to go get mongoose.... do you just blindly go get it? Why not go read up a bit and find out yourself?
(not flaming you, but trying to 'teach a man to fish, so he can feed himself forever')
Edit: Good places to go to are the wow pally forums, elitist jerks forums, wowwiki.com, etc?

depending on how you rate your weapon, for welfare epic, if you can afford and dont think you are changing in the near future, you might wish to go mongoose > executioner (im not a fan of these 2 ) else, simply put savagery as compared to potency.

to saingau :
yea, checked those link before asking in here, just want some more feedback, suggestions from fellow malaysians here only. But now confirm i will get the executioner enchant on the weapon then, since this is my pvp weapon.
I want someone to put potency into my "big stick" ; lol

For Seal of Command proc, only 1 factor affects it and 1 only. Weapon speed. You want the (edit)slowest. So in terms of proc rate for SoComm, stormherald is *slightly* better due to 3.80 speed (~44%), compared to glad weaps which are 3.60 spd (~42%). As you are human, definitely go for sword or mace due to expertise (as has been said by others in this thread). Its not much, but every little helps.
The only other factor to consider is pure stats and how much net AP/crit you get from the weapons themselves. A lot of people usually say to consider BoK, but if this is purely PvP, I wouldn't bother factoring in BoK as much as it will likely get dispeled/purge (in Arena) or you will be using BoF/BoP etc etc depending on the situation but your playstyle may be different so its up to you to consider if you want to factor BoK in.
Personally, stats wise, S3 glad weap (if you can get the rating req) far outstrips stormherald imo and as others have said, BS is a real pain to level. I honestly wouldn't recommend it. My 2 coppers anyway.
EDIT: I said fastest weapon speed by mistake.
