hi all!

my gf is eyeing on a new phone, she love SE phone so much that she try to avoid buying nokia (although 5610 Music Express looks nice to her).

some question about the flash, the LED flash can stay on and act like a torch? is the LED bright enough?

also how's the battery life?

sorry if this has been asked many time, i'm new to phone section of LYN. biggrin.gif

yes,exactly thumbup.gif u can use LED flash as a torch light,even SOS.. nod.gif
*
oh thanks that's a great news indeed!

i think k850 is really unique that allow both LED flash along with xenon flash, that's why my gf love it!

let's see if my gf can accept the purple fringing when taking outdoor picture especially those with lots of trees. but my gf mostly take pictures of bakery stuffs like cakes/breads/cookies cause she loves bakery! indoor pictures should please her i think... biggrin.gif

My friend just bought an N82. Well alot of aspects of picture quality can be debated on, but one thing that makes me very happy to choose this over n82 is that at night, it uses LED flash to focus compared to the Infra Red used by N82 which is terrible when taking pictures of people cause they won't want to look at that infra red light. I do not know about the N82, but the LED focusing light can be turned off if you want to on the k850i.
*
i thought the red light should be better than LED focusing, at least easier on eyes? my friend's N95 makes me wanna close my eyes everytime when he take LED flash picture.

at least good to know the LED focusing light can be turned off! thumbup.gif

my gf saw the latest C905, and she seems to be impressed by it. ah guess i'll have to wait a bit before committing into buying either K850 or C905 cause she rarely change phone, and will use until it spoil...gotta save more money... sweat.gif

For someone lazy or dont know how to set the k850i camera, k810i with 3.2mp is better because the auto mode was easy to use smile.gif
*
mess with camera setting is pretty easy once you understand how it works. but sometimes point and shoot camera rely heavily on auto setting so even though with correct setting the K850 will out perform K810, but everytime take out camera must press press press press then only start shooting, if wanna capture birds/insects all run/fly off edi... sad.gif

anyhow it's down to the user, i've seen excellent and bad photos taken from both k850 and k810... sweat.gif

so which 1 are you prefer ? I used to love my k850i so much but i am addicted to G900 now  rolleyes.gif
*
still dunno, it's my gf looking for a new phone so she probably would love to have a good auto setting. i've thought a new question, is k850 capable to "remember" the setting for each presets after you've closed the camera application, or even shut down the phone? i know nokia phone will always reset the setting... unsure.gif

g900 is very cool i've played one before. but not sure about the photo quality leh, and no xenon flash woh...that's why my gf saw the C905 and she love it very much, even my also wanna buy one lerrrr.... drool.gif

...but might end up with K850 since it'll be very expensive for C905 during its launch. sweat.gif

Not so sure about the comparison but K850i is well-known if compare to C902 smile.gif

i've saw some comparison topics at esato forum. pretty interesting, while C902 produce a little warmer color and sometimes better color capture, it seems that K850 still win in several aspects especially talking about xenon+LED vs just LED.

i still believe something special will happen to K850i especially its FW rclxms.gif

ya since the C902 and K850 have the same hardware then if they willing to put the colour processing into K850 then K850 will be really really nice!

honestly, i don't quite like the picture taken from N82/N95, i dunno, something is not "right" about the outcome... hmm.gif

wow i'm impressed with the K850 pictures! although i can imagine the color is not spot on, purple'ish hue on the outcome, but the clarity is very very nice indeed!

oh and i can safely assume that the xenon flash is useful on close range object? the bike photo seems to show that the car behind doesn't light up much? but significantly better than the K800 photo! thumbup.gif

maybe for auto lo, if manual setting maybe ISO100 or EV minus something will solve the problem. laugh.gif

but still K850 is more crisp and clear even shooting image up close. many thanks for the shootout tests! biggrin.gif

just want to report that my friend's w810 seems to have the dreaded LCD screen gone problem, just a reference for k850 users who had the same problem on their phone.

it seems that some batch of SE phones (recent models within 1~2 years) seems to have display lost problem. my friend sent the phone to service for almost a week and they can't find out what the problem at all...

sound scary... sad.gif

i've read about the i-mobile 902 over the thread there. i read that anything above ISO50 will have a lot of noise. so it'll be inconvenient to shoot moving object even with average indoor lighting condition? hmm.gif
