I think u have to suit urself with those 3 buttons. There are some "skills" using it. When u get used to it, u will understand. Otherwise, u have to check with ur k850 provider, it might be the problem with the sensitivity of those touch buttons too.

I dont really think that its related with firmware, i used k850 since the oldest firmware till now the latest firmware, i have no issue about the touch problem

Well, for you, it might not be a FW problem but for some (locals and in other forums I've read), it is a FW problem. Anyways, just trying to help out the guy.

Thnx for all the help out there....but its really getting me irritated when i try to send a message or get in to the menu....the last ting i am going to do is send it back to MIDLAND for servicing before the warranty dies off =)

Just activate ur hsdpa with ur telco then get the settings from them and u r rdy to use, enter the number then there shall be a menu for video calling:)

yup u can backup ur sms with myphoneexplorer and restore it after u reset ur phone.
restore for firmware i dunno whether its works anot.

wanna ask... any new firmware available for sony ericsson k850i

R1FA is the latest at the moment.

mine unit after flash by sony ericsson authorized service center not even a single auto restart

guys.... i went to survey sony ericson mobiles for my cousin n he realy intrested on K850i.... im Nokia user n cant realy give comment bout the phone but personally im also like it.. but the sales person suggest us to take k810i or k800 than this model coz got problem with da screen n da 3 touch button... 10 out of 10 he sold have problem..... so anyone can clarify on this matter? do we just have to go find other dealer

I can clarify that for you. I'm currently having that problem with my phone. Well, not exactly the 3 touch button. Just the middle touch button not responding when pressed/touched. It responds when I press or touch the num. 8 button or the surrounding area of the button. It's really annoying when you want to send SMS coz you'd press send by mistake. Still deciding on whether to sell it and buy a new phone or repair it. If you want, you can have mine... lol... PM me for details. XD

Hi guys, wondering if anyone of u guys ever encounter the same problem like me. Each time I press button 1, 4, 7, Left and Down my screen went black out. And right now wen I keep on pressing Up button to scroll the caller list its so slow. Anyone have any idea what causing this problem?? Is it cause by the firmware or short circuit?? The problem started 2 days ago.

If he say 10 out of 10 have this problem then weird already

I got 7 friends that using this unit, all have no problems at all, they all(included me) were flashed to latest firmware

For ur problem, i suggest u better send back to ur phone provider and repair. Only then decide whether to sell it off or not

Bro, this kind of problem, surely hardware/software problem already. Best solution is send back to ur phone provider. Firmware will not cause this problem AFAIK, anyway, u can always try to update ur firmware to latest one or re-flash ur firmware first.

want to ask to backup the contacts need use the k850i install program??

One thing I've been wondering. Can we recover any files that we've deleted from MMC/phone memory?

yup, R1FA035 is the most stable & fastest performance firmware for K850i at the moment, i hope newer & better version will be available soon.
