hi all!

my gf is eyeing on a new phone, she love SE phone so much that she try to avoid buying nokia (although 5610 Music Express looks nice to her).

some question about the flash, the LED flash can stay on and act like a torch? is the LED bright enough?

also how's the battery life?

sorry if this has been asked many time, i'm new to phone section of LYN. biggrin.gif
*
yes,exactly thumbup.gif u can use LED flash as a torch light,even SOS.. nod.gif

oh thanks that's a great news indeed!

i think k850 is really unique that allow both LED flash along with xenon flash, that's why my gf love it!

let's see if my gf can accept the purple fringing when taking outdoor picture especially those with lots of trees. but my gf mostly take pictures of bakery stuffs like cakes/breads/cookies cause she loves bakery! indoor pictures should please her i think... biggrin.gif
*
yup...this phone indoor picture is good thumbup.gif
outdoor...haish..sumtime got that purple bling bling mad.gif

My friend just bought an N82. Well alot of aspects of picture quality can be debated on, but one thing that makes me very happy to choose this over n82 is that at night, it uses LED flash to focus compared to the Infra Red used by N82 which is terrible when taking pictures of people cause they won't want to look at that infra red light. I do not know about the N82, but the LED focusing light can be turned off if you want to on the k850i.

ya bro.K850 is a not bad phone completely lor..
its bad due to damn BROD and lagging lor.. sad.gif
feel like a digicam on my hand blush.gif

ya since the C902 and K850 have the same hardware then if they willing to put the colour processing into K850 then K850 will be really really nice!

honestly, i don't quite like the picture taken from N82/N95, i dunno, something is not "right" about the outcome... hmm.gif
*
laugh.gif picture?N82 win over K850i interm of color ony...btw,for me K850i is the best the way it is thumbup.gif

wow i'm impressed with the K850 pictures! although i can imagine the color is not spot on, purple'ish hue on the outcome, but the clarity is very very nice indeed!

oh and i can safely assume that the xenon flash is useful on close range object? the bike photo seems to show that the car behind doesn't light up much? but significantly better than the K800 photo! thumbup.gif
*
yup,in phone display screen,K800i show an awesome + sharp picture..
but in fact when see it in PC doh.gif sweat.gif
K850i is otherwise
but honestly,i try so many time to shoot wif K800i,result is still the same..blur..blur.. sweat.gif
btw, K850i is still my favor thumbup.gif

this the comparison between K800i and K850i interm of close range object + Flash

seems like K850i flash is more powerful than K800i and make thing brighter in close range sweat.gif

maybe for auto lo, if manual setting maybe ISO100 or EV minus something will solve the problem. laugh.gif

but still K850 is more crisp and clear even shooting image up close. many thanks for the shootout tests! biggrin.gif
*
yup bro..that test is just fair & square..
if i adjust that ISO thingy sure not fair is it laugh.gif
only disappointment thing about K850i is an outdoor and potrait pic..
not too gud wif its level..but still acceptable thumbup.gif

what is the latest FW for k850i rigt now?
*
R1FA035 thumbup.gif
sumthin happen yesterday..
i try to re-update my FW..and SEUS indicate that my FW is the latest..yes..wif R1FA035 icon_rolleyes.gif
but i just continue the installation..find out its different from before
previously i edy try this...and the new R1FA035 is just overwrite my previous K850i's R1FA035..
but this time its wierd though..
the SEUS itself not overwrite the same FW,but its oso format my K850i,means that all my contents in my K850i is gone!!its clear all the previous FW.
i can see there is sum improvement on camera interms of sharpness and colors.but not too noticeable.
and find out my my phone are more faster than before thumbup.gif
try it urself guys.
but importantly,backup ur data first flex.gif biggrin.gif
now on i really love my K850i..
never feel like phone+digicam before thumbup.gif
but now on i need to give my K850i to my young sister cry.gif ..she lost her's 6500..she want my K850i..waduh doh.gif
anybody wanna sell K850i to me?Luminous green of course smile.gif rclxms.gif

nod.gif the new SEUS version will format everything on da phone  doh.gif  i don't like this feature actually, but maybe SE design it by some important purposes behind for better improvement when newer FW apply.
*
laugh.gif me oso shock ooo.. laugh.gif
yeap,i think SE will do sumthin with K850 FW thumbup.gif rclxm9.gif

my phone is already patched to the latest FA035... but hearing wat PGV said about fully formatting via the latest SEUS helps to improve the camera quality? is it true?
or shud i just wait for the next firmware until i do another update? my phone has been working fine... juz tat the camera's image's colours aren't as nice as previous SEs... =/
*
laugh.gif laugh.gif its from my eyes..before,i find out there is a same issue on my K850i,after taking the pic,the image processing make it worst.i edy update via SUES where as previously the update only overwritten my previous FW,but now,its better,no bad image processing, but the lagging still there when got background application.. sweat.gif
the bad is ,i didn't make any benchies between these updates doh.gif doh.gif
but what i see,the image color more accurate than before

so jus pay for reflash or got any alternative way?
*
correct CDA format for K850 must be xxxx-xxxx, not xxxxxx/xxx
u need to reflash it lor bro..Thats why SEUS not recognizes ur FW
i think got ppl have same problem like urs. hmm.gif
