I'm from programming field and now bored with programming. Looking into networking site. going to take CCNA very soon.
If else a company can offer more then 3k for a CCNA cert holder with networking experience, it will be a good opertunity. 4k for fresh grad? Awesome offer... If i got it, i would rather join the next day... Night shift is not a big deal since single.. Haha... |

QUOTE(FirezZ @ May 9 2008, 02:59 AM) btw, ccna hard to get ? err.. am working in networking line.. and now thinking of getting a ccna cert.. but the course fee damn high.. so just wondering if taking the exam without course.. can i pass a ?hmm CCNA seems eas to get.. The course fees isn't that high... A institute offers 3k for 7 weeks class plus exams and books.. The exam alone is just RM 580.. If u already hv experience in networking, just take the exam, but make sure u know about the newest cisco products... |

QUOTE(wasabi @ May 13 2008, 07:55 AM) do u have any sample of the exam paper??? just want to look at it and if it easy , i want to take it I just entrolled in CCNA class... Once i get the sample question paper, i'll PM you... By the way, u can have a look at pass4sure for sample questions... But, don't take it as a bible to pass CCNA... It's worth to take CCNA if u think u can understand networking, rather then dump all the questions in ur head... PM me if u wan to know more about CCNA class... My course is starting at 25th May... |

How u think employers can detect fake CCNA cert holders and the one who really put effort to study?
And what's the different in studying at MMU or UM then in some cicso reconized training centers? If u can tell, studying for a long term(1 year) is more valuable, then i would say, it's not hong long u r studying but how fast u get things understand.... |

QUOTE(FirezZ @ May 15 2008, 04:09 AM) yeah. in that case, i tink i will be taking it soon I think, it's better for u to go for classes.. If not, u wouldn't experience in latest cisco routers... How u gonna study ur own? TestKing or Pass4Sure is it? Not worth for a company to hire pass4sure CCNA holder... Haha... I'm going for classes.. PM me for more info...but don tink i will go for the classs.. too expensive ba.. hmm pm me when anyone going for the class or exam ya get more infor.. then sure pass gua.. QUOTE(ubsacc2004 @ May 15 2008, 12:18 PM) even u go for classes doesnt mean u know all rite ?after get cert get job with lower salary then after 2 yrs hands-on cabut lor. But someone who going for classes and learning new technology from cisco, surely far better then a testking CCNA holders... No one knows 100% in networking site... So can't tell, someone who going for classes should know all.... |

QUOTE(ben_ang @ May 15 2008, 12:24 PM) it is a little pricy..but u get 2 experience the real thngy instead of only watching books rite? do u thnk its a gud idea 2 take CCNA if need 2 change field, means frm non-IT field 2 IT field.. interested in networking thngy.. It's consider reasonable price then other institutes... Plus u can experience real things... R u from non-IT background? CCNA cert is mostly for IT graduates... But if u know about what is IP address and how to find ur own IP using Command prompt, shouldn't be a problem taking CCNA... In the 7 week class, u will be more network knowledgeable then a pure IT graduate.. Trust me.. |

QUOTE(clngu @ May 15 2008, 12:40 PM) from non-IT to IT field ... all depend individual capabilities It's true all depends on individual capabilities.. For me, i'll only concentrate if i attend classes and listen to trainer... For others maybe they can self-study... Once know the basic level, i think self-studying should be a problem.. But starting from stracth, self-studying not recommended...I had a friend from electrical engineering who knows nothing about Cisco networking ... attended the class ... quit after few classes cause the trainer sucks ... self-study CCNA and passed the exam ... found an IT job and continue self-study+hands-on ... later joined a new company and passed CCNP exam ... now in MNC... as Cisco expert ... not sure whether achieve CCIE status Added on May 15, 2008, 12:54 pm QUOTE(ben_ang @ May 15 2008, 12:35 PM) i'm not actually know where i belong.. i know PC, i can buka my pc n put it back.. my house is wireless networked, with 2~3pcs..port forwarding/IP detect/ez network prob shouldn't be a prob 2 me.. my office router network/pc prob also find me.. but i only studied pc back in high school.. Shouldn't be a problem... I'm sure u will manage to learn things very fast... If u worried about spending money on classes, then go for self-study.. But as a beginner like me, i recommend attend classes... Someone who as experience before can self-study.. Not all... We should know our own capabilities before listening to others... Some might said, going for classes waste of money.. maybe for them coz they r expert.. Not all... So i think, for people who know things, don't discourage others who going to start from the beginning...This post has been edited by roy_zu: May 15 2008, 05:23 PM |
